QB Target: Kyler Murray (ARI), ADP 72.5, QB7

Itā€™s like no one cares that Kyler is about to go absolutely nuclear. Heā€™s two years removed from his ACL injury and a ton of his lateral movement has returned on the field. That will help with the rushing upside. But, most importantly, the Cardinals finally seem to have a true elite WR with Marvin Harrison Jr. Iā€™m buying the QB7 by ADP in every draft.

QB Avoid: C.J. Stroud (HOU), ADP 70.5, QB6

This is not a knock on Stroudā€™s talent or development. He had a tremendous rookie year, and the offense around him should be ready to gel. The problem I have with drafting him this high is that he lacks the rushing upside of the other top-8 QBs. He took off just 39 times for 167 yards on the ground in 15 games. It was the 20th-most at the position. Iā€™d like the pick if he was on-par with say, Joe Burrow. But for now, Iā€™m fading him as the QB6.

RB Target: James Cook (BUF), ADP 53.8, RB13

Cook ranked 4th in rushing yards and 8th in receiving yards last year. Heā€™s the clear-cut RB1 for the Bills, who remain a dynamic offense as long as Josh Allen is under center. If he gets more red zone work this season, he could go nuts. While Ray Davis and Ty Johnson will be positioning for roles, Cook should see workhorse levels and as long as heā€™s being drafted outside the top 12, heā€™s a target for me.

RB Avoid: Jaylen Warren (PIT), ADP 91.8, RB25

I could have included his teammate Najee Harris here too. At this point I donā€™t trust the Steelersā€™ backfield situation. The time share is too hazy to predict. Even though Warren is the more efficient back and should take over more of the passing work this season, heā€™s dealing with a hamstring issue. Iā€™m letting my leaguemates deal with the Pittsburgh headache.

TE Target: George Kittle (SF), ADP 64.7, TE7

If wā€™re talking about guys who offer realistic TE1 potential, Kittle has to be the best value in drafts. Even if Brandon Aiyuk stays in town, Kittle will offer some terrific spike weeks to win individual matchups. Last season he turned in 9 Weeks inside the top 10 scorers at the position.

TE Avoid: Sam LaPorta (DET), ADP 38.1, TE1

I LOVE LaPorta as a football player and will probably turn to him often in DFS builds this season. But, for redraft leagues the price is just too high. First of all, the position is deeper than itā€™s been in years. Second of all, LaPortaā€™s numbers were inflated by his 10 touchdowns. He ranked closer to 5th or 6th in a lot of other metrics. So, wait a few picks and get another guy at a better value.
