QB: Jayden Daniels (WAS), ADP 96, QB10
Don't overlook Jayden Daniels this season, currently going as the QB10. He had a 57-7 touchdown-to-interception ratio over the last two seasons. But, he also had a very promising 1,133 rushing yards last year. That dual-threat ability should translate well to the pro game. And boy, does Washington need it after years of mediocrity. Look for Daniels to boost the floors of players like Terry McLaurin and Luke McCaffrey too.
RB: D’Andre Swift (CHI), ADP 88.3, RB24
Swift is a player who’s been drafted as an RB1, but hasn’t lived up to the expectations. Despite a career year rushing for the Eagles, his passing game usage dropped, and Jalen Hurts vultured a significant amount of his red zone chances. However, Khalil Herbert and Roschon Johnson combined for just six carries inside the 5-yard line last season, suggesting more scoring opportunities for Swift in Chicago. He’s perpetually underperformed for various reasons, but if Chicago deploys him like a true bell cow, and he can stay healthy, he’ll be regarded as a lot more than a back-end RB2.
TE: Dalton Kincaid (BUF), ADP 52.1, TE5
Do I really think the 5th tight end off the board can be considered a “sleeper”? Yes, because the more I look, the more I see potential for a monster year in the Bills’ offense. Last year, Kincaid got a 24% target-per-route-run rate while only playing 62% of the snaps. With the departures of Stefon Diggs and Gabe Davis, the offense will have to evolve, and Kincaid could even emerge as the top target in the offense. I know Dawson Knox is still there, but Kincaid is the player on the rise.
WR: Jameson Williams (DET), ADP 81.5, WR46
We’ve been waiting on Williams to become the first-round prospect he was touted to be 3 years ago. Since then, he’s endured missed games due to injury, an extended suspension from the league, and a constant pressure to play keep up with his teammates. This is a make-or-break season for him. The good news is Coach Dan Campbell called him the most improved Lion earlier in the summer. The team has set him up to be the WR2 behind Amon-Ra St. Brown. It’s enough for me to believe he’ll finally get a chance to translate his talent into fantasy football stats.
