Short Stacks (Honorable Mention):
Jared Goff and Amon-Ra St. Brown
Sun God has the ceiling of first overall, but Goff is too inconsistent, especially on the road.
Kyler Murray and Marvin Harrison Jr.
Have I mentioned I like these guys this summer? We haven’t seen it play out yet though, so I’ll slow my roll.
Tua Tagovailoa and Tyreek Hill
They can literally be a human highlight reel. But, Tua finished last season tied for 19th in fantasy points per game with Baker Mayfield and Jake Browning. So, you can find more consistent production at that position.
C.J. Stroud and Nico Collins
The arrow is pointing up for this pair, and this offense in general. It’s one of the more expensive stacks on the board though, especially compared to the risk.
#5: Lamar Jackson and Mark Andrews
I like Zay Flowers, and Rashod Bateman is a legitimate sleeper. But, Andrews should still get the lion’s share of targets on the Ravens. He ranked 3rd in yards per route run (1.95), and had a healthy 22% target share when he was healthy. Lamar Jackson seems to be improving in the passing game. The big risk with this duo is health though, as Andrews is somewhat of an injury risk.
#4: Jalen Hurts and A.J. Brown
It’s the single most expensive stack on the board, which prevents me from ranking it higher. But, it’s too good to keep out of the top 5. Before the offensive collapse late in the season, Brown had an incredible run of consecutive weeks with 125+ receiving yards. He only had 7 touchdowns, but those points often went to Hurts anyway. If this is your stack, you’re making your opponent nervous every week.
#3: Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce
I know that Kelce is in his mid-30s, but why does it seem like these two are flying under the radar this season? Kelce is the most consistent TE in fantasy over the last 7 years. Right now the Chiefs still have Rashee Rice, but Hollywood Brown is already injured, and Xavier Worthy has yet to take his first NFL snap. Kelce will still get his 100+ targets, and continue to play clutch in the red zone.
#2: Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb
Prescott was the league leader in touchdown passes in 2023, and Lamb paced everyone in receptions by a lot. He has 135 to Amon-Ra St. Brown’s 119. That kind of value is priceless in PPR formats, and Prescott is a dirt cheap draft option compared to every other QB on today’s list. If you can build a strong team around them in the 2nd-8th rounds, this should be a smash again.
