START: Chuba Hubbard (CAR)

There is a real chance that Week 3 ends up as Hubbardā€™s best game of the season. Still, I like him this Sunday against Cincinnati. The Bengals are in trouble at 0-3, and have allowed the 6th-most rushing yards per game to their opponents. Rhamondre Stevenson gashed them in Week 1 and Isiah Pacheco did the same in Week 2. The Panthers arenā€™t quite condenders, but the offense looks transformed with Andy Dalton under center, and Hubbardā€™s

SIT: Rhamondre Stevenson (NE)

Rhamondre may be the only Patriotsā€™ player worth rostering in fantasy (Hunter Henry?), but this is a brutal matchup on the road against a defense that ranks in the top-10 in rushing yards allowed. His offensive line looks like it could be the worst unit in football, especially in pass protection, which means teams can easily scheme to limit Rhamondre. Heā€™s quickly becoming a touchdown-dependent play.

START: Devin Singletary (NYG)

I wrote this summer about how Singletary would be worth drafting based on volume alone, as the Giants seemed to want to give him the work vacated by Saquon Barkley. Through 3 weeks, that has been the case, if the results havenā€™t always been stellar. Singletary is coming off his best game so far, with 18.8 PPR points against a tough Brownsā€™ defense. This week, he gets the Cowboys, who have allowed the most PPR points per game to RBsā€¦ by a LOT. Singletaryā€™s role as the lead back combined with the matchup means you should absolutely keep him in your lineup.

SIT: Javonte Williams (DEN)

Williams is at the point where heā€™s almost droppable. Heā€™s averaging just 2.1 true yards per carry, has 0 breakaway runs, and a role in the passing game thatā€™s just mid, with 11 total targets this season. Plus, now heā€™s losing work to Jaleel McLaughlin. With a very formidable Jetsā€™ defense waiting for him this weekend, itā€™s best to leave him on your benchā€¦ maybe for the rest of the year.

START: James Conner (ARI)

After Monday nightā€™s thrilling Commandersā€™ game, this weekendā€™s clash between them and the Cardinals looks like it has the makings of a shootout. Connerā€™s usage in the Arizona offense, combined with his stubborn ability to make people miss (1st in evaded tackles, and 4th in juke rate), means heā€™ll benefit from the pacing of this one. Keep him locked in for the weekend.

SIT: Dā€™Andre Swift (CHI)

Swift is dangerously close to being someone we wonā€™t have to mention at all, because no one will be wondering whether or not to start him. This season has been absolutely brutal to him so far. His averages of 6.5 fantasy points per game, 1.9 true yards per carry, and 0.41 fantasy points per opportunity (61st) are just not enough to merit putting him in starting lineups, even against a fairly generous Rams squad.

START: Rome Odunze (CHI)

Odunze just enjoyed his breakout game as a member of the Bears. He caught 6 of 11 targets for 112 yards and a TD. Perhaps most encouraging for this week is that heā€™s now 12th in yards per reception, with 17.3, and this weekā€™s opponent, the Rams, allow the most yards per reception in the NFL. Keep Odunze in your lineup with this kind of matchup on tap.

SIT: Michael Pittman (IND)

Aside from maybe Jonathan Taylor, the entire Coltsā€™ offense was probably overvalued during draft season. Anthony Richardson has entered a struggle phase in his evolution as a passer, and the entire operation is suffering. Thatā€™s why I really dislike Pittman against a Steelersā€™ defense allowing the 4th-fewest fantasy points to WRs.

START: Nico Collins (HOU)

Not many teams are trending in the wrong direction quite like the Jacksonville Jaguars. The talent is falling short of expectations, and the coaching has produced some head-scratching decisions. The beating they took from Josh Allen and co. on Monday Night reinforces the notion that these guys are going to have trouble covering people. Whichever of the 3 main Texans is on your roster, theyā€™re worth a start against this struggling group. But, Nico is the WR1 for Stroud. So, lock him in.

SIT: Zay Flowers (BAL)

Flowers has a pretty decent target share as a member of the Ravens, but letā€™s be honest: the passing game still isnā€™t the featured part of that offense. With the Derrick Henry-Lamar Jackson ground game, the opportunities are already going to be capped. Then thereā€™s Flowersā€™ relatively low ADOT and air yards numbers, and youā€™re already looking at a borderline WR2/3. The matchup makes the final decision to sit him, as the Bills have been strong against WRs.

START: Marvin Harrison Jr. (ARI)

Weeks 2-3 have given us the MHJ we were hoping to see when the Cardinals drafted him. Heā€™s got 3 scores over those 2 games, and has elevated to 5th in yards per reception across the league. With the Commanders on tap, heā€™s facing a defense allowing the most adjusted fantasy points per game to the WR position. It would be an even greater boost if Trey McBrideā€™s concussion keeps him out of this one.

SIT: Jameson Williams (DET)

Seattleā€™s coverage has been on point this season. Theyā€™re allowing the 2nd-fewest fantasy points per game to WRs. With Williams already taking a back seat to Amon-Ra St. Brown in the target department, and the Lions expected to lean on their formidable running game, heā€™s best left on your bench this week.
