#5: RB - Cam Akers (HOU)

Game flow wasnā€™t kind to Akers on Sunday as the Vikingsā€™ defense handled the Texansā€™ attack. But, we know the talent that C.J. Stroud and co. bring wonā€™t keep producing offensive duds each week. With both Joe Mixon and Dameon Pierce nursing injuries, Akers will be the main beneficiary against the Jaguars in Week 4, and possibly even in the following game against the Bills. As long as Mixon is out, Akers is in a good position.

#4: WR - George Pickens (PIT)

Pickens has been just average so far for the Steelers, and likely hasnā€™t met the expectations of the person who drafted him. But, patience will pay off in this case. Justin Fields showed marked improvement as a passer in this Sundayā€™s win against the Chargers, and it seems unlikely heā€™ll give up the starting job to Russell Wilson right away. Heā€™s finding his footing, and heā€™s trending in the right direction. Meanwhile, Calvin Austin was the fantasy hero this Sunday, clouding the fact that Pickens still paced the WRs in targets and catches. It looks like heā€™s simmering under the surface and ready to erupt.

#3: WR - Mike Evans (TB)

Over the last few weeks, itā€™s been Chris Godwin rather than Evans pacing the Bucsā€™ passing attack. But, itā€™s an indication of poor matchups rather than a true changing of the guard in Tampa. Evans drew Patrick Surtain in coverage in the Broncosā€™ game, an unenviable position for anyone, even a wily vet like Evans. Tampa has the Eagles and Falcons over the next two weeks, which should loosen things up and allow Evans to get back to form. Trade for him now to realize those benefits.

#2: WR - Diontae Johnson (CAR)

Technically you arenā€™t buying low on Johnson after this explosion of a game. 8 catches on 14 targets for 122 and a touchdown clearly represents a spike week. But, thereā€™s a good chance the Johnson owner in your league had him on their bench after a slow start and an uncertain outlook with Andy Dalton entering the conversation. Well, a theme of this NFL season is that veteran experience at QB may be greater than raw talent. Dalton seemed to recognize something in Johnson, and thereā€™s a good chance that connection will continue to flourish. Trade for him now before heā€™s consistently putting up these weeks.
