🏈 The Best Receiving RBs in Football
PPR Points to the Moon
Welcome Back to Drop Army Fantasy!
Let’s face it, fewer and fewer people are playing in leagues with zero PPR awarded (no hate though!). But today, I’m looking at my five favorite backs for full PPR value — the best receiving backs in football.

Alvin Kamara (NO), ADP 54.4, RB18
Alvin Kamara led all running backs in target share (21.5%), finished Top-5 in receptions (4.9 per game), and was the #1 pass-catching back in PPR floor despite the Saints’ offense being bottom-tier. But even with Kendre Miller flashing late and the Saints reportedly scouting a replacement, beat reporters say Kamara is still expected to handle an equivalent workload — and the staff continues to call him the “premiere player in this offense.”
So if you're fading age, you’re fading volume. Kamara is locked into elite receiving usage, gets the 2nd-easiest rushing schedule in football, and offers guaranteed PPR production for as long as he’s active. Perfect if the rest of your draft leans volatile.
Chase Brown (CIN), ADP 26.5, RB10
Chase Brown finished with 54 catches, ranked 5th among RBs in receptions, and handled 95% of the backfield touches across his final 8 games. He averaged 116 yards per game over that stretch and closed the year as RB5. But now the Bengals face the toughest rushing schedule in the NFL, which may actually bode well for Brown’s receiving role.
So the upside is real on this Cincinnati offense.
De’Von Achane (MIA), ADP 14.5, RB6
De’Von Achane led all RBs in targets, receptions, receiving yards, and routes run — and ranked 2nd in points per game when Tua was active. His explosive plays made him a top-5 RB anytime Miami kept pace. But when Tua missed time, Achane cratered to RB42, averaging under 7 points. That drop was tied directly to Tua’s league-low 5.7 air yards per attempt — a system that only works when the quarterback does.
So if Tua’s healthy, Achane’s 600+ receiving yards are already banked, and any spike in red zone usage makes him a league-winner from the early second.
Christian McCaffrey (SF), ADP 8.5, RB4
Christian McCaffrey still posted an 18% target share and ran a route on over 50% of dropbacks — elite marks for any RB, let alone one battling multiple lower-body injuries. But after a season-ending Achilles strain and a partially torn PCL, the Niners have publicly stated they plan to limit his touches to protect him. He’s also no longer the unanimous 1.01 — and that’s a signal.
So you’re drafting CMC at a discount — in the 4th-easiest rushing schedule — with RB1 overall upside still firmly in play. If you’re swinging for the title, this is the safest risk you can take.
Bijan Robinson (ATL), ADP 3.0, RB1
Bijan Robinson finished 3rd in RB receptions, 5th in receiving yards, and 3rd in evaded tackles — all in his second season. But the real breakout came in the final 9 games: Bijan averaged 21.4 touches, racked up 122 yards per game, and scored 10 TDs, taking over the Falcons’ offense entirely.
So now he walks into 2025 with the NFL’s easiest rushing schedule, no backfield competition, and a system that firmly centers him. He’s the RB1 for a reason — and could still be a value at pick 3.
