10. Tucker Kraft (GB), ADP 136, TE13

Kraft is sneakily a candidate to jump into the Top-5 this season if everything breaks right. He’s one of the best in the game on a per-snap basis:

  • 2nd in yards per catch (14.4)

  • 4th in target separation (2.44)

  • 2nd in yards per route run (2.64)

And yet, the perception is that he suffers from a crowded offense of pass-catchers. To the alternative: it’s possible the Packer wide receivers may not be so great as a unit. So, theres a path for Kraft to make a big leap from ranking 14th in fantasy points per game.

9.Dalton Kincaid (BUF), ADP 141, TE14

I’m higher than the consensus on Kincaid because I think injuries had a lot to do with him falling short of expectations last season. He was physically worn down even before he missed time with knee issues. But recently, Bills’ GM Brandon Beene said Kincaid has been working on adding bulk to his frame for added durability. Other reports have said the Bills plan to feature Kincaid as a much larger part of the offense this season. So, he’s got a very high ceiling playing with Josh Allen.

8. David Njoku (CLE), ADP 123, TE10

The Browns QB situation is far from ideal for their fantasy assets. But, Njoku is still being undervalued right now in drafts. Despite only appearing in 11 games, he ranked 4th at the position in points per game and had the 6th-most total targets. He was an absolute beast just two seasons ago and is still on the right side of 30. His fantasy upside is still sky-high if the QB situation breaks in his favor.

7. Travis Kelce (KC), ADP 96.5, TE6

I’ve been vocal about fading Kelce at his current draft cost mainly due to a lower ceiling than in years’ past, but his floor is also pretty stable so long as he stays healthy. The fact that he scored only 3 touchdowns last season despite leading the league in red zone targets to the position only suggests he should score more this year. And Patrick Mahomes knows him as well as any teammate could, so you’re getting safe points if you draft him.

6. T.J. Hockenson (MIN), ADP 88, TE5

Hockenson battled back last season to post decent numbers after a gnarly knee injury. He ended up 3rd in yards per route run and 10th in yards per catch. He will be used efficiently in the Vikings offensive scheme. But, there’s a lot of risk here with a new QB and enduring questions about durability as he ages. Just know I have him ranked here closer to his ceiling.

5. Evan Engram (DEN), ADP 104.5, TE7

A new situation might be just what Engram needs to revive his fantasy perception. He joins a less crowded offense in the Broncos, and Bo Nix hasn’t had a tight end with his level of talent to throw to. And Engram has already handled a high volume before. He ranked 2nd in target rate and 3rd in target share last season, and cracked the Top-10 in target separation. He’ll be a safe starter this year.

4. Sam LaPorta (DET), ADP 73, TE4

LaPorta had a slight dip in stats from his rookie season, but it wasn’t due to talent. His volume dropped considerably from 2023, going from 120 targets all the way down to 83. He was still solid with that work, ranking 6th in yards per catch at the position. With Jameson Williams trying to put some more consistency into his career, LaPorta probably won’t see his rookie season’s target share again, but he is still one of the best TEs in the game. He’ll be just fine this season.
