5. Omarion Hampton (LAC), ADP 46.5, RB18
The Chargers signed Najee Harris recently, but Hampton has a playmaking skill set. He was lauded in college for his ability to break and evade tackles, and can hit for some big plays, which Harris isn’t exactly known for at this point. Hampton has more receiving chops too, having caught 38 passes for 373 yards last season at UNC. Ultimately, a Justin Herbert-led offense that was 10th highest in run play percentage is a promising spot for Hampton. So, he’ll contribute this season.
4. Travis Hunter (JAX), ADP 72, WR31
They don’t give out the Heisman Trophy for nothing. Hunter was electric last year at Colorado with 96 receptions and 15 touchdowns. The Jags targeted him in the NFL draft, trading up to get him, so you know they want to get him involved immediately — and they’ll need to. The pass catchers who left Jacksonville last season accounted for over 40% of their targets in 2024. The duo of Hunter and Brian Thomas will be fun to watch.
3. Tetairoa McMillan (CAR), ADP 62, WR28
McMillan’s situation give him a slight edge over Hunter in drafts for me. A lot of his ceiling will hinge on Bryce Young’s development, but he’s the obvious top talent in the WR room next to Xavier Legette and the ghost of Adam Thielen. He’s got the physicals at 6’5”, 212 to go up and make contested catches, and it’s likely the Panthers will find themselves in passing situations more often than not. Tet should be a candidate to become a solid WR2 this year.
#2. TreVeyon Henderson (NE), ADP 55.5, RB22
Rhamondre Stevenson has been physically worn down the last couple of seasons trying to carry the Patriots offense on his shoulders. The Patriots drafted Henderson for his big-play ability, his highlight reel runs demonstrate how dangerous he can be with the football. He also had 27 catches in 2024. So, he could end up becoming a passing game asset too. If the Patriots take a step forward this season, it will be largely because of the addition of Henderson.
