12. RB: Christian McCaffrey (SF), ADP 11.0

Anyone who drafted CMC last season did so with a top-3 pick — likely number 1. Whoops. Achilles and knee injuries totally tanked his season. Now, there are whispers about the 49ers spreading touches around to keep him fresh. It’s all just slightly concerning.

Still, we’re chasing upside here at the turn of round 1, and the potential is still here. Since 2018, when playing in 16 or more games (4 seasons), CMC has finished either 1st or 2nd in fantasy points per game. So, why not take a shot while he’s still on the right side of 30? The risk could pay off big time.

11. WR: Amon-Ra St. Brown (DET), ADP 11.0

Amon-Ra has enjoyed nothing but elite production playing with Jared Goff. He’s averaged 113 catches per year over the last 3. He’s an obvious PPR asset out of the slot, who was 2nd in red zone targets and 3rd in total TDs in 2024. So, even though he has some stiff target competition when Jameson Williams and Sam LaPorta are clicking, he’s still one of the safest first round picks on the board. Draft him and you’ll likely enjoy consistent production all season long.

10. WR: Malik Nabers (NYG), ADP 8.0

Nabers is coming off a monster rookie season. His usage was elite, ultimately producing 109 catches over 15 games and breaking Puka Nacua’s rookie record from just a year prior. Going into his sophomore season, he should see improved QB play from the likes of Russell Wilson or Jameis Winston (in theory), so the ceiling is even higher for the talented young player.

9. WR: Nico Collins (HOU), ADP 10.0

With Stefon Diggs gone to New England, Collins is the unchallenged alpha receiver for the Texans. And, provided he stays healthy, he’s pretty good fantasy producer. He was a top-24 WR or better in 8 of his 12 games last year, and he has 10 touchdowns over his last 17 healthy starts. As he and C.J. Stroud continue to grow together, this could be the year Collins puts together a complete season.

8. RB: Ashton Jeanty (LV), ADP 11.0

Too high for a rookie? I’m not so sure, looking at his projected usage. He steps into a Raiders’ running back room alongside Raheem Mostert (33 years old), and role players Sincere McCormick and Zamir White. There should be no doubt that Jeanty will own the starting role in the offense.

Fantasy managers should also be excited about Jeanty’s ability to break tackles. He’s been one of the most elusive backs in college football over the last 2 years according to PFF, so the Raiders will be looking for him to use those skills immediately.

7. WR: Puka Nacua (LAR), 7.5

Puka crushed the competition last season:

  • 1st in yards per route run

  • 1st in targets per route run

  • 1st in fantasy points per route run

  • 2nd in fantasy points per game

The Rams replaced Cooper Kupp with Davante Adams this offseason, so defenses will have to split their attention carefully. Ultimately, Adams’s presence should allow Puka to generate open looks and continue to produce at a high level.

6. RB: Bijan Robinson (ATL), ADP 3.5

Last season, the Falcons figured out that Bijan has to be the key to their offense. He averaged 24.2 touches and over 20 PPR points per game. He was also the top-ranked back in the league in total yards created. All that opportunity and efficiency are even more enticing when you consider that the Falcons’ defense is projected to be weak. So, Bijan could find himself showcasing his talents in a number of shootouts this year.

5. RB: Jahmyr Gibbs (DET), ADP 5.5

Gibbs is the perfect RB for PPR leagues. In his sophomore season with Jared Goff, Gibbs ranked 3rd in total receiving yards and 2nd in yards per reception, with 20 total touchdowns to boot. He also had his second straight season with 50+ receptions. With no major changes to the Lions’ roster, Gibbs’s explosive play will continue to boost fantasy squads into 2025.

4. WR: Justin Jefferson (MIN), ADP 3.0

Jefferson is still one of the most solid WR1s out there, even if we don’t quite know what the offense will look like under J.J. McCarthy. There’s really no reason to overthink this one. Over the last 3 seasons working in Kevin O’Connell’s system, J. Jettas has been a beast in fantasy points per game:

  • 2nd in 2022 (21.7)

  • 5th in 2023 (20.2)

  • 3rd in 2024 (18.7)

So, as a proven commodity who will still be just 26 at the start of the fantasy season, Jefferson is a solid first-rounder.
