Rashod Bateman (BAL), ADP 160.6, WR70
The Ravens brass believes in Bateman, so you should too. The team gave him a 2-year contract extension through 2026, and offensive coordinator Todd Monken recently praised him. The comment also hinted that Bateman would see a lot of targets this season, now that Odell Beckham is out of the mix.
Bateman has not seen a strong target share so far in his career and he seems to be stuck as the teamās WR2 behind Zay Flowers. But, with the passing improvement of Lamar Jackson, teams having to pay more attention to Derrick Henry in the box, and a middling schedule, Bateman could be primed for a breakout. So, take a chance on him in the 13th.
Nick Chubb (CLE), ADP 126.9, RB40
Thereās no telling when Chubb will return from his BRUTAL Week 2 knee injury. But, itās even less certain how effective he might be when he does return to the fold. Heās undergone multiple surgeries and currently sits on the PUP list.
But, for a chance at one of the best runners in NFL history Iāll gladly spend an 11th round pick. Heās 3rd all-time in career yards per carry at 5.3. He spent 4 straight years as a top-10 back in terms of fantasy points per game. Cleveland is expected to be a run-heavy attack this season. Thereās buzz that Chubb might even be ready to dress by Week 1. So, if thereās even a shot of Chubb returning to form, heās worth the late pick.
Hunter Henry (NE), ADP 158.6, TE18
Henry is slept on right now due to the poor Patriotsā offense from 2023. It didnāt help that he missed 3 games too. But, Henry is a proven veteran at his position and has been a top-10 fantasy TE before. In fact, he turned in
TE1 performances in 50% of his healthy games last year.
The Pats seem to be leaning toward starting Jacoby Brissett this season, which would be very good for Henry. In his last extended stint as the Brownsā starter in 2022, he targeted his tight ends 3rd most in the league. With a roster of young and mid-range WRs, that means Henry could emerge as a top target.
Rico Dowdle (DAL), ADP 134.9, RB43
The opportunity for Dowdle to contribute has arrived in 2024. Ezekiel Elliott is no longer durable at this stage of his career. But, even beyond the risk of Zeke breaking down is the fact that he ranked 49th in fantasy points per opportunity. Dowdle ranked 26th in the same metric, albeit with less playing time.
Still, Tony Pollard left behind the leagueās 7th-best opportunity share and the 2nd-most red zone touches. Dowdle and his 16th-ranked yards after contact per attempt could straight up win the job over Zeke, and be a very pleasant surprise from this stage of your draft.
Quentin Johnston (LAC), ADP 169.3, WR75
The community has been quick to write Johnston off after a disappointing rookie season. But, he was buried on the depth chart behind Keenan Allen and Mike Williams. He was never going to get the type of opportunity some people predicted for him. This year could be different for a few reasons.
First of all, Allen and Williams are gone. Secondly, OC Greg Roman recently spoke about being able to utilize the former first-rounderās skill set in his offensive system. It seems like he knows the last regime didnāt do him justice. Finally, as much as we all like Ladd McConkeyās breakout chances, itās still unclear which way thatās going to go. Johnston could be in line to recoup some solid draft value if things break right.
