SIT: Chuba Hubbard (CAR)

Hubbardā€™s solid play as of late and a set of fresh legs might be too much to overcome against the Chiefs coming off their first loss. This matchup has blowout written all over it, so I donā€™t think the flow of this one will be particularly fruitful for Hubbard. Even if it stays close, the Chiefs have one of the tougher front sevens in the NFL.

START: Tyrone Tracy Jr. (NYG)

Tracy now has 3 finishes as a fantasy RB1 in his last 5 games. Even in the loss to the Panthers, he went over the century mark on the ground in 18 carries, and found the end zone to boot. In theory, the Giants will receive a boost from the QB change this weekend. But, even if they donā€™t, Tampa is 4th-worst at containing RBs in fantasy football.

SIT: Dā€™Andre Swift (CHI)

Swift has has a decent run as a RB1 or RB2 in 6 of the last 7 games. But, itā€™s best to tread lightly against the Minnesota defense. They are second in the league to only the Chiefs in limiting fantasy output to opposing backs. Even with Chicagoā€™s valiant effort at a get-right game last weekend, itā€™s likely the offense goes backwards.

START: Bucky Irving (TB)

Rachaad Whiteā€™s involvement over the last few weeks has largely been a product of game flow. The Bucs have needed to turn more to their passing game, making this backfield more of a committee than it might actually be. Irving finally has a RB-friendly matchup in the Giants, and as one of the leagueā€™s best at breaking tackles, heā€™s a solid starter in Week 12.

SIT: Tony Pollard (TEN)

Tennessee faces Houston this weekend. They just dominated Rico Dowdle and the Cowboys. Overall, they allow the 7th-fewest fantasy points per game to RBs, and fewer than 4 receptions per game to the position. Thereā€™s also the fact that Tyjae Spears is working his way back into the fold. Fade Pollard if you can.

SIT: Deebo Samuel (SF)

Perception is not reality, and the reality is that Deebo has fallen far down in the San Francisco pecking order. When Purdy drops back to pass, heā€™s more likely to look at CMC, Kittle, and even Jauan Jennings. Deeboā€™s pattern is to go into extended cold stretches. Additionally, the Packers represent a relatively difficult matchup.

START: Tyreek Hill (MIA)

I donā€™t love Hillā€™s prospects over the rest of the year because the trends are what they are. But, the Patriots have completely come unglued on defense. With the exception of the solid game against Chicago, theyā€™ve allowed big games to opposing WR1s lately. Hill is clearly still the WR most involved for the Dolphins, so heā€™s probably a safe WR2 with a higher upside.

SIT: Jakobi Meyers (LV)

Even at his best, Meyers is best viewed as a low-end WR2. But, as the leading wideout on the Raiders, heā€™ll get the privilege of Patrick Surtainā€™s coverage. Thatā€™s not a great prospect for anyone, including guys with better QBs and more explosiveness. Look elsewhere for WR production.

START: Mike Williams (PIT)

The Browns are horrible. While theyā€™re middle of the pack in pass defense overall, they just got burned bad by the Saints. And, ironically, the improvement of the offense under Jameis Winston may actually create more opportunities for their opponentsā€™ WRs to thrive. Thereā€™s room on Thursday night for both Pickens and Williams to produce.

SIT: Jordan Addison (MIN)

Addison hasnā€™t produced much, and T.J. Hockensonā€™s return hasnā€™t helped all that much. The Bears, to their credit, have a solid secondary that will have their hands full with Justin Jefferson. So even in a week with six byes, there are better options out there.
