#5: WR - Cedric Tillman (CLE)
I wrote about Jerry Jeudy in my waiver wire column yesterday, but that doesn’t mean Tillman isn’t valuable. In fact, I think he’s a great trade target. He’s had 40 passes thrown his way over the last 4 weeks, and ranks within the top-25 in target separation. So, with Jameis Winston raising the ceiling of this offense overall, Tillman is still a fantasy commodity.
#4: RB - Brian Robinson Jr. (WAS)
Robinson had been dealing with a hamstring issue that kept him out for Weeks 9 and 10 before posting a respectable fantasy score against the Eagles. The problem in that game was that the Commanders’ offense didn’t get too much going. But, BRob reestablished himself as the alpha with the vast majority of the backfield carries. And with a few friendlier rush defenses coming up, he’ll be a solid start option most of the rest of the year.
#3: WR - Malik Nabers (NYG)
I know. Nabers hasn’t had a weekly finish better than WR27 in his last 4 games. A lot of the issues have to do with Daniel Jones and the overall state of the Giants’ offense. I know Jones isn’t going anywhere, but there are still positive signs for Nabers. He is averaging 11.75 targets per game on the season and has the number 1 target share among all WRs. There’s a shot that New York has been using the bye week to get their offense right. So, there is some serious untapped potential that could blow up.
#2: WR - DK Metcalf (SEA)
Metcalf returned to the lineup this week and immediately jumped to second on the team in targets behind Jaxon Smith-Njigba. That’s not bad for someone shaking off the rust. But also, Metcalf is still 3rd in deep targets and well within the top-10 in air yards, despite missing those games. So with the Seahawks throwing the football at the 3rd-highest rate in the NFL, there will be plenty of chances for DK to help your team win.
#5: RB - Rico Dowdle (DAL)
Although Dowdle will likely lead the Cowboys in backfield touches the rest of the way, this offense is in deep trouble without Dak Prescott. In Week 10, the QBs combined for just 66 passing yards, which doesn’t bode well for rushing-positive game scripts from here on out. Dowdle can likely be flipped for someone with a better outlook.
#4: WR - Tyreek Hill (MIA)
The obstacles may just be too much to overcome for the Cheetah in 2024. First the Miami offense was thrown into chaos with Tua’s concussions. Now, a wrist injury seems to be hampering him on the field as well. Yes, he just had his first WR1 weekly finish since Week 1. But that means it’s time to take advantage and offload him before he takes your team down further.
#3: WR - Jameson Williams (DET)
The entire fantasy value of Williams feels like it’s been based on potential rather than reality. Even when he pops, like he did this weekend, it’s never sustained. In fact, Williams has 2 games outside the top 100 to go along with his 2 games inside the top 10. That volatility isn’t going anywhere. So, get something for Williams if a league mate will still value him.
#2: RB - Austin Ekeler (WAS)
Ekeler is riding a 3-game streak as the RB13 or better, but the signs from last Thursday’s game are slightly concerning. With Brian Robinson Jr. back to full strength, Ekeler only received 2 carries, and made virtually all of his fantasy points through the air. The opportunities are sure to dry up, so if you can get something for the name value, I say do it quickly.
