SIT: Aaron Jones (MIN)

Jones is a starter most weeks, but he’ll have a difficult time against a Lions’ defense allowing the 3rd-fewest fantasy points per game to RBs. That’s true even when factoring in Kenneth Walker’s 3-TD game against them. They’ve shut down good backs all year, and completely stifled average guys. So, Jones might be a smart fade in Week 7.

START: Tony Pollard (TEN)

Pollard has been surprisingly solid for the Titans in the passing game, hauling in at least 3 receptions in 3 of his 5 games so far, with 4 weeks inside the PPR top 20. As Tennessee prepares for Buffalo this weekend, he’s definitely part of the game plan. Buffalo has allowed the most receptions per game to RBs, and Breece Hall continued that trend on Monday night, taking 5 receptions for 56 yards. Pencil in Pollard for RB2 numbers at least.

SIT: James Conner (ARI)

Conner has a few things working against him this week. He was pulled from the Week 6 matchup with ankle problems, while his teammates Trey Benson and Emari Demercado got the work. If those ankles are still hurting, he could sit out or at least have his workload greatly reduced. Additionally, the Cardinals are preparing to face the Chargers, who have allowed the 4th-fewest fantasy points per game to RBs. Fade him in Week 7.

START: Austin Ekeler (WAS)

Ekeler had a difficult time finding running lanes against a tough Ravens front seven, but he saved his fantasy day with 4 receptions for 47 yards. Things should open up a bit more against the Panthers. They allow the most rushing yards per game, and the most fantasy points per game overall to the position this season.

SIT: Josh Jacobs (GB)

The Texans are somewhat of a pass funnel, stifling opposing RBs and inviting their opponents to throw on them. Jacobs hasn’t been particularly efficient this season, ranking outside the top 30 in yards per touch and juke rate, and ranking 64th in fantasy points per opportunity. He’s likely to be shut down this weekend.

SIT: George Pickens (PIT)

The trends aren’t encouraging for Pickens this week. His snap share has been declining, and Justin Fields has completed just 29 total passes in the last 2 weeks. Making matters worse is the Sunday night matchup against the Jets, who allow the 6th-fewest fantasy points per game to WRs. The Steelers’ passing attack might be in trouble, so tread lightly with Pickens.

START: Chris Godwin (TB)

One of the patterns that’s emerged over the first 3rd of the NFL season is that the Ravens are vulnerable to the pass. WRs score 44 fantasy points per game against their defense, which is the most in the NFL. With Mike Evans exiting early in Week 6, Godwin looked like the true WR1 on this team. Evans’s status is up in the air, but Godwin is still a must-start in this one.

SIT: Deebo Samuel (SF)

Deebo had his best game of the season in Week 6 against the Seahawks, but don’t expect a repeat when he faces the Chiefs in Week 7. First of all, the Chiefs are very good at limiting their opponents’ WR1s. Secondly, they’ll be able to game plan around the pass because Jordan Mason is now banged up and Christian McCaffrey still hasn’t seen the field. If you have a better option, think about using it.

START: Terry McLaurin (WAS)

Scary Terry has been excellent recently, taking advantage of the best QB he’s ever had in Jayden Daniels. He has 3 finishes as the PPR WR16 or better in the last 4 games, and 7 or more targets in 3 straight. Daniels and McLaurin should both be licking their chops to play against the Panthers, who allow nearly 35 PPR points per game to opposing wideouts.

SIT: Calvin Ridley (TEN)

To have 8 targets with 0 receptions is a bad sign. It’s not necessarily Ridley’s fault, as the balls haven’t been totally catchable. But, I’m still fading him until something changes in a big way. Ridley has just one WR1 finish in PPR formats, which was back in Week 2 against the Jets. His 2nd-best week was an 8-point Week 1, in which he finished as the WR52. Despite the plan to get him the ball more, don’t trust him.
