Everyone is overlooking these 6 players in fantasy drafts this year…

RB: James Conner (ARI)

Conner might be an injury risk, and he isn’t the most exciting name on the draft board, but he has been a solid back in terms of points per game. In the last few years he’s finished 7th, 9th, and 13th in that category. Last season he was surprisingly top-10 in juke rate and breakaway run rate. So, ride that bell cow opportunity to a top-tier RB2 with the ADP of RB25.

WR: Mike Evans (TB)

Evans has been one of the most consistent players in fantasy football. He racked up an impressive 2,207 air yards according to Fantasy Life and led the league in deep targets. That allowed him to gain 15.9 yards per catch, which ranked 6th among guys with at least 100 targets in 2023. But, despite a WR7 finish, he’s going as the 17th receiver off the board. Take advantage.

QB: Brock Purdy (SF)

Purdy had himself an excellent season in 2023. He finished 1st in yards per attempt, 3rd in touchdowns, and 6th in fantasy points per game. He’s now established himself as a very good professional quarterback. But, his draft price is at QB13 currently. He’s going after guys like Anthony Richardson and Jordan Love. So, keep him on your radar as your draft reaches its 9th or 10th round.

TE: Hunter Henry (NE)

Henry is slept on due to the poor offensive output in New England and the leg injuries that hampered him for much of last season. But, when he was healthy, he turned in top-12 output in half of his games. Whether the season is started by Jacoby Brissett or Drake Maye, Henry is one of the Patriots’ top targets.

WR: Diontae Johnson (CAR)

Johnson started the year hurt for Pittsburgh and then didn’t really produce. But, that was a result of bad play from his quarterbacks. Johnson was 6th in targets in 2022, and 2nd in 2021. He’s the type of player who earns the trust of his QBs. If the Panthers want to take a step forward in 2024, he’s one of their best shots to do it. So, I think the 44th receiver off the board can exceed those expectations.

RB: Zack Moss (CIN)

Moss broke out nicely for Indianapolis last season. He took full advantage of the Jonathan Taylor contract situation and turned in 4 top-10 performances in his first 5 games. Things tailed off once Taylor resumed his position, but Moss cemented his fate. He now projects to start for the Bengals, and could thrive in that situation. So, drafters who take him as their RB3 could be pleasantly surprised.
