HM: RB - Jaylen Wright (MIA)
The Dolphins are on a bye this week, but it might be worth taking a look at Wright anyway. DeVon Achane got knocked out early in Miami’s win over the Patriots, and while Raheem Mostert took on a slightly bigger role, Wright was instrumental in the ball control game. He gained 86 yards on 13 carries, averaging 6.6 yards per touch. If Achane is going to be out for any extended period of time, Wright will keep a role in that offense.
#4: TE - Zach Ertz (WAS)
After Week 4, Ertz was officially a top-10 TE again, benefitting from a much more explosive offense than many people expected going into the season. He sort of bombed against Cleveland, but his 8 targets still felt encouraging, even as he could only haul in 2 of them. Ertz actually leads all tight ends in catchable target rate, and is 4th in air yards. He’s almost available in more than half of leagues, so this is probably the last call.
#3: WR - Josh Downs (IND)
It’s unclear just how long Joe Flacco will be taking the snaps for Indianapolis, but as long as that’s happening, Downs has to be owned. He led the team by far with 12 of Flacco’s 44 targets. And even though Alec Pierce did the most damage per catch, the opportunity is nothing to scoff at. Downs has established his role.
#2: WR - Allen Lazard (NYJ)
Aaron Rodgers likes HIS guys, and Lazard is finally reaping the benefits of the rapport he shares with his QB. It’s become clear that Rodgers likes to look to Lazard when the Jets start to approach the red zone, so he’ll be an intriguing flex option the rest of the way… so long as Rodgers can stay healthy.
