Saturday News Drop
Fantasy’s biggest stories of the week … in two minutes or less.

Chris Godwin injury update
Big news out of Tampa: Chris Godwin’s back on the injury list with another fibula issue. He actually hurt a different part of the same leg that cost him time last season. The team isn’t putting him on injured reserve right now, and with a bye coming in Week 9, the smart move seems like rest and rehab. For fantasy, it’s tough to trust him short term. This could mean missed time, and it leaves a temporary void in that Bucs passing attack.
Jauan Jennings and Mac Jones status
Some updates out of San Francisco: Jauan Jennings and Mac Jones are both listed as questionable heading into Sunday. Jennings was limited all week but is trending toward playing against Tampa’s pass-funnel defense. And with Brock Purdy already ruled out, Jones is expected to start again at QB despite his own knee and oblique issues. If Jennings is active, he’s in the WR2/3 conversation with Ricky Pearsall out. And Jones (with two QB1 weeks already this season) is a real streaming option against this matchup.
Lamar Jackson ruled out again
Not the news Baltimore fans wanted… Lamar Jackson has been ruled out for the second straight week. He’s been sidelined with that hamstring injury since late September, and the Ravens’ offense just hasn’t been the same without him. They’ve lost five straight without Lamar and haven’t cracked 17 points in any of those games.
For fantasy players, this is a major downgrade for the whole offense. Expect a lower ceiling for every skill player until he’s back..
Chuba Hubbard out — Rico Dowdle time
And finally, Carolina will be without Chuba Hubbard again this week. He’s out with that calf injury, which sets up Rico Dowdle for a true bell cow role against his former team. He went off for 206 yards last week and now faces a Dallas defense that’s allowed the most yards per game and fourth-most points this season. For fantasy, Dowdle’s an auto-start in this spot… everything lines up for him to be a volume monster.
