Emeka Egbuka Practices on Friday

Emeka Egbuka, dealing with a hip/groin issue, was spotted practicing on Friday. We’re still waiting for the official injury report later today, and a “questionable” tag into the weekend wouldn’t be surprising. Practice participation is an encouraging arrow for Week 3, so keep an eye out before you set lineups.

Derrick Henry Warns Opponents

Vibes are strong in Baltimore right now. Derrick Henry joked he hopes people keep calling DeAndre Hopkins “washed.” At 33, Hopkins has started hot with tough, contested scores, including 23- and 29-yard touchdowns in the first two games, plus another one-handed TD in Week 1; Lamar praised the mitts. Translation for fantasy: he looks trusted in tight windows and near the paint, which keeps him firmly in play if that usage sticks.

Evan Engram Ruled Out

Tight end note before the weekend. The Broncos ruled out Evan Engram for Week 3 against the Chargers due to a back issue. He didn’t practice all week and is coming off a calf concern as well. If you were stashing him, pivot to a healthier option on waivers—names like Dallas Goedert or Isaiah Likely were mentioned as alternatives.

Joe Burrow Officially Has Surgery

Joe Burrow had his scheduled foot surgery on Friday. The recovery window is around three months, which likely sidelines him for most of the regular season. If everything goes perfectly and the Bengals stay in it, there’s a late push possibility. For fantasy, plan like Burrow’s done. In Superflex/2QB, Jake Browning should already be rostered.

Chris Godwin Return Timeline

Good news for Tampa WRs…Chris Godwin trending better than expected—Week 4 is now a real shot for his ankle. That’d beat the earlier “Week 5 or later” expectation… and of course it helps that Mike Evans and Emeka Egbuka have carried the load. Remember, when Godwin played last year he was a volume machine (about seven catches for 80+ yards per game across seven). If you’ve stashed him, you’re close. He projects back into WR2 territory once he’s settled.

Isaiah Likely Back at Practice

Isaiah Likely (foot) was back out there today. He practiced late last week but couldn’t go in Week 2; staying active now suggests no setbacks, and there’s been chatter he could make Monday night versus Detroit. The kickoff is late, so have a backup if you roll the dice. The Ravens never put him on IR, which matches the “back by Week 5 or sooner” timeline. Arrow up. Meanwhile, this is not good for Mark Andrews, who has already busted hard so far in 2025.

So keep your eye on the news as we head into the weekend… as promised, in 2 minutes or less.
