#5: RB - J.K. Dobbins (LAC)

The fantasy community seemed sure that Gus Edwards would be the back to pace the Los Angeles offense, but Dobbins was the one that was fully charged up. He took 10 carries for 135 yards and a touchdown, including a long of 61 yards. He caught all 3 of his short targets as well. Time will tell if Dobbins can continue the explosive pace, but he’s off to great start.

#4: WR - Xavier Worthy (KC)

Worthy only had 3 offensive touches last Thursday night, but he sure did make them count. He averaged 24 yards per catch, and took his lone 21 yards to the house. Getting into the end zone twice is a great way to start a career and continue to earn more trust from Mahomes and Coach Reid.

#3: QB - Baker Mayfield (TB)

Baker had the 2nd-most fantasy points among quarterbacks by the end of the main slate on Sunday. He shredded the Commanders’ defense to the tune of 289 yards and 4 touchdowns. No one really paid Baker a lot of mind over the summer, but he may be a popular waiver pickup this week.

#2: WR - Alec Pierce (IND)

With Josh Downs out, Pierce stepped up big time for the Colts, raking in just 3 receptions for 125 yards and a long touchdown to finish the game with 18.5 PPR points. Even though the Colts fell short, Pierce showed an explosive ability to break big plays. So, keep your eye on him going forward.

#5: WR - Christian Kirk (GB)

Kirk’s ascension to being the #1 WR on the Jaguars will have to wait a while longer. He was overshadowed by Brian Thomas Jr’s strong debut and was only able to haul in one of his 4 targets in the loss to Miami. So, he let a lot of fantasy drafters down yesterday.

#4: TE - Jake Ferguson (DAL)

Despite being 3rd on the Cowboys with 5 targets, Ferguson only managed 15 offensive yards on 3 receptions. The expectations are too high for him after last season, and he’ll need to attract more work if he wants to live up to his fantasy draft price.

#3: RB - Zamir White (LV)

White was definitely the Raiders’ workhorse as expected. The problem was that he was completely inefficient all afternoon. He averaged just 3.4 yards per carry over his 13 totes, and watched as Alexander Mattison scored the only Vegas touchdown of the day.

#2: QB - Joe Burrow (CIN)

The Bengals should have had a layup game against the Patriots on Sunday. Instead, they felt the sting of an inactive Tee Higgins, a pitch count for Ja’Marr Chase, and a surprisingly well-executed New England defensive game plan. Burrow had trouble finding a rhythm all day, ultimately throwing for just 164 yards and no scores.
