Fantasy-relevant stories from this week
Sunday News Drop
Fantasy’s biggest stories of the week … in two minutes or less.

Jayden Daniels injury update
Rough one this morning for Washington fans: Jayden Daniels is expected to miss around three to six weeks with an elbow injury. The good news? No surgery needed, and the team hasn’t placed him on IR yet. He’ll be re-evaluated during the Commanders’ bye week, which lines up nicely for a possible return window. In the meantime, Marcus Mariota will handle starting duties. For fantasy, you can safely drop Daniels in redraft. Mariota’s a low-end streamer, but this offense probably dips across the board without Daniels under center.
Matthew Golden injury status
Packers rookie WR Matthew Golden is “fighting to play” against the Eagles, according to Matt LaFleur. He’s still dealing with a shoulder issue and hasn’t practiced much, so it’s looking iffy at best for Week 10. He’s listed as questionable, but even if he’s active, he’s a tough sell for fantasy. Targets will likely stay concentrated on the other guys in that attack. So, don’t get cute, leave Golden on your bench or waiver wire for now.
Aaron Jones trending toward playing
Finally, some good news. Aaron Jones is expected to play Sunday against Baltimore.
He sprained his shoulder last week but practiced in a limited fashion Thursday and Friday, saying he feels “in a good spot.” He went for nearly 100 total yards last week, so he’s clearly still got burst. If he’s active, lock him in as a mid-range RB2… just temper expectations accordingly.
Kyler Murray future in question
Big-picture news out of Arizona… Adam Schefter reports the Cardinals plan to have “extensive discussions” about Kyler Murray’s future. He was benched earlier this season, then placed on IR with a foot injury, and there’s a real sense a split is coming. His 2027 salary partially guarantees in March, so a decision’s coming fast. Murray could easily land on a new team next season, but for now, it’s safe to assume he won’t be fantasy-relevant again until 2026.
Eagles get healthy ahead of MNF
The Eagles got some reinforcements… both Saquon Barkley and A.J. Brown were removed from the injury report ahead of Monday night. Center Cam Jurgens will sit, but that didn’t slow Barkley down before. Expect him to see a full workload as a top-end RB1. Brown’s cooled off a bit lately, but he’s still a locked-in WR2 with WR1 upside. Philly’s offense looks back to full strength right on time for a primetime game.
Cedric Tillman activated
Cleveland activated Cedric Tillman from injured reserve after a hamstring injury.
He’ll return to a new QB situation, but he was the team’s top receiver before going down. His ceiling’s capped by the offense overall, yet he should slide right back into a steady target role. In deeper leagues, he’s a sneaky stash… especially if the Browns’ passing game finds any rhythm.
Brian Thomas Jr. OUT for Week 10
Tough news out of Jacksonville: Brian Thomas Jr. is officially sidelined with that ankle injury. He missed practice all week, so this isn’t a shock, but the Jags are hoping he’ll be back by Week 11. In the meantime, Jakobi Meyers and Parker Washington are expected to handle most of the work at receiver. For fantasy managers, that means Meyers could flirt with flex value, especially against a Texans defense that’s been beaten deep a few times this season.
Rashid Shaheed Set for Big Role
Interesting development in Seattle… Rashid Shaheed “might need to play extensively” against the Cardinals. The Seahawks are down several wideouts, including Jake Bobo and Dareke Young, while Cooper Kupp is questionable. That opens the door for Shaheed to step right into a real role. He’s familiar with Klint Kubiak’s offense and even brings special teams juice, so if you need a WR3 this week, he’s firmly on the radar.
Puka Nacua Cleared and Ready
Good news for Rams fans…Puka Nacua’s off the injury report and ready to go versus San Francisco. He was limited early in the week with that rib issue but practiced fully Thursday and Friday. He’s currently top five among wideouts in fantasy points per game and remains a locked-in WR1, even in a tough divisional matchup.
So keep your eye on the news as we head into NFL Sunday… as promised, in 2 minutes or less.
