STUD QB: C.J. Stroud (HOU)

This kid continues to show remarkable growth even as an NFL-ready rookie. With 470 yards, 5 TDs, and a QB rating of 147.8, Stroud stood tall in the shootout win vs. Tampa Bay.

Fans of the Houston Texans have to be feeling really good about the future with Stroud under center.

DUD QB: Geno Smith (SEA)

Week 9 felt like a flashback to Genoā€™s days with the Jets.

Baltimoreā€™s defense completely stifled him on Sunday. He completed just 13 of 28 pass attempts, took 4 sacks, threw a pick, and lost a fumble. The fantasy football total? 3.7 points. Not good enough.

STUD RB: Rachaad White (TB)

White was the workhorse we thought we were getting for the Bucs on Sunday. He took 24 touches for 119 total yards and 2 TDs.

It helped that this game was a high-scoring shootout, and White did everything he could to try and help his team win.

DUD RB: Zack Moss (IND)

Alright, so the backfield split weā€™ve been seeing with Jonathan Taylor may not be in the Coltsā€™ long-term plans. Mossā€™s touches had already been trending down since JTā€™s return, and in a game where the defense scored twice, Moss seemed like the odd man out on offense.

He had just 7 carries for 26 yards, both season lows.

STUD WR: Tank Dell (HOU)

Dell was the biggest winner in Stroudā€™s monster game, with 6 receptions for 114 yards and 2 TDs. There were a number of Houston players who hit on the day, including teammate Nico Collins who scored a TD on 3 receptions of his own, but it was Dell who made the biggest impact from that WR room.

Fantasy Lifeā€™s Utilization Report shows Dellā€™s route participation increasing as the season has gone on, and he finished Week 9 with a healthy 28% target percentage, best on the team.

DUD WR: Zay Flowers (BAL)

For a guy who popped up on a lot of peopleā€™s ā€œstartā€ lists, Flowers wilted hard this week. His one catch for 11 yards isnā€™t going to get it done for anybody.

I do have to give him credit for the incredible athleticism he showed on that one catch, though. The ability to stop on a dime was on full display. Flowers needs to put it all together soon to reward his fantasy backers.

STUD TE: Dalton Schultz (HOU)

Yes, thatā€™s another Texan popping up on my stud list. Gotta give credit where creditā€™s due.

If you can get 10 grabs for 130 yards and a TD out of your TE, then youā€™re having a nice Sunday. Sure, he gets knocked for losing a fumble, but he did more than enough to offset that error.

DUD TE: Travis Kelce (KC)

You canā€™t expect Mr. Swift to have a huge game every week. The man is human, after all.

However, on a day where Kelce took the crown as the Chiefsā€™ all-time leading receiver, his fantasy output left something to be desired. He hauled in 3 passes for just 14 yards as his team beat Miami over in Europe.

#5: TE Jonnu Smith (ATL)

If youā€™re streaming TEs, it might be time to take a closer look at Smith, who is now outscoring teammate Kyle Pitts on the season. Man, what could have been with Pitts.

Jonnu on the other hand, showed real results on Sunday in the loss vs. Minnesota. He was able to haul in 5-of-6 targets for 100 yards and showed impressive burst on a 60-yard TD catch.

Additionally, Atlanta has the easiest remaining strength of schedule left in the entire NFL, so more offensive production could be on the way.

#4: QB Josh Dobbs (MIN)

Did you hear that Dobbs led the Vikingsā€™ offense to that win this week without knowing many of his teammates names? Thatā€™s a lot of fun.

His passing stats certainly werenā€™t off the charts this week but he showed incredible grit with his new team, and floated his fantasy day with his season-high 66 rushing yards and a ground TD.

With some soft teams remaining on the schedule (Bears, Broncos, Raiders), and some that will push the pace (Lions, Bengals), combined with the imminent return of Justin Jefferson, Dobbs should remain a viable fantasy option.

#3: WR Demario Douglas (NE)

We were right about the attention Douglas might get from Mac Jones now that Kendrick Bourne is out for the season. He tied his season high in targets (7), catches (5), and had his best game in yards (55).

The Pats travel to Germany this week to play the Colts, then have a bye week, but have some matchups down the stretch that might prove favorable, including a Giants team thatā€™s had trouble stopping most opponents, and the Chargers, who are 3rd-worst in the NFL vs. WRs.

#2: RB Keaton Mitchell (BAL)

This was the breakout game for Mitchell. He only carried the ball 9 times, but averaged over 15 yards per carry in the blowout against Seattle on his way to 20.4 PPR points as Sundayā€™s RB3.

If youā€™re worried about opportunity competition with Gus Edwards, there should be plenty of carries to go around. Fantasy Life has a tool that breaks down team styles, and the Ravens nearly always play balanced ball and finish most games with a negative drop back over expectation rate.

#5: David Njoku (CLE)

Njoku is heating up a bit. Heā€™s now finished as PPR TE13 or better in 4 of his last 5 games and scored a TD in 2 straight. He also hasnā€™t had fewer than 6 targets since Week 6.

According to Fantasy Life, heā€™s also got a 213% RACR metric, which is by FAR the best out of all the TEs with at least 30 targets on the season. If you need help at this position, and have some assets to spare, make a move.

#4: WR DK Metcalf (SEA)

Why do we do this with Metcalf every year?

In the beatdown administered by the Ravens, he had just one catch on 4 targets. Granted, it was for 50 yards, but it isnā€™t enough to satisfy his fantasy managers.

But, looking ahead at the Seahawks schedule may provide some hope. In Weeks 15-17, he gets to face the Eagles, Titans, and Steelers, who are all near the bottom of the league in fantasy points allowed to WRs. If youā€™re poised for a playoff run, this could be a savvy move.

#3: RB Alvin Kamara (NO)

It might be unlikely that the Kamara owner in your league will want to part with him, but if there was ever a week to buy low, this is it.

Kamara had a rough fantasy day compared to the standard he had set for himself lately, with just 26 yards on the ground, and his 3rd-lowest receiving output of 44 yards too.

However, thereā€™s no denying the potential bounce back, as he leads all RBs in targets and receptions on the season.

#2: QB Lamar Jackson (BAL)

Lamar is coming off of a second straight underwhelming fantasy week, finishing behind guys like Jordan Love and Mac Jones. In fact, heā€™s failed to surpass 12 points in 3 of his last 5 outings.

Still, Jackson has 5 top-10 fantasy finishes this year, his passing numbers are much improved, and heā€™s always got the threat of his legs to keep his floor higher. Additionally, he has a spate of upcoming opponents with poor fantasy performances vs. the QB position, including the Chargers, Jaguars, and Rams.

If the Jackson owner in your league has another viable QB, making a move now might make sense.
