Week 12 Trades

Here are 5 players that look like great buys going into Week 12 … in two minutes or less.

QB: Daniel Jones (IND) 

Daniel Jones is the definition of a fantasy redemption story right now. After getting cast off by the Giants, he’s thriving in Shane Steichen’s Colts offense, stringing together multiple 250-plus-yard games and showing real dual-threat juice again. But even with a few ugly turnover-heavy weeks on his resume, the underlying numbers and schedule say the ceiling is real. Indianapolis’ offense has been consistently efficient, and per Establish the Run, his fantasy playoff stretch (Seahawks, 49ers, Jaguars) sets up as one of the most favorable slates for QBs, with Jacksonville (fantasy championship) ranking fifth-worst versus the position. So if you can grab him before that run begins, you’re getting a revived QB1 who could be the difference-maker that wins you December.

RB: Bucky Irving (TB)

He’s been off the radar, injured since Week 7, but a quick glance ahead is flashing signs that he should be a buy before the trade deadline. He was a top-12 back before going down, with elite efficiency and workhorse usage that clearly made this his backfield, but his time away has made people forget just how good he was. With the Falcons, Panthers, and Dolphins on deck during the playoffs, the runway is perfect if he returns healthy. So if you can buy him before that window opens, you could be landing a league-winner right before the stakes are the highest. 

RB: De’Von Achane (MIA)

Achane is fresh off back-to-back 20-carry games, which is the first time in his career Miami has trusted him with that kind of workload, and he’s delivered. He’s averaged over 160 total yards per game in that stretch. But some managers will still see the Dolphins’ uneven offense and hesitate, assuming the volatility will return. That’s your opening. With Achane locked in as the engine of this attack and facing a favorable playoff RB schedule (including a Bengals defense giving up the most fantasy points to RBs), his explosiveness could swing leagues down the stretch. So don’t wait for another 50-yard touchdown reminder. Go get him while his price still hasn’t caught up.

WR: Jameson Williams (DET)

Trade for Jameson Williams before everyone realizes how much the Lions’ offense has shifted. Dan Campbell taking over play calling has unlocked him. He’s now topped 80 yards and scored in back-to-back games while finally being featured on in-breaking routes instead of just go balls. But his managers may still see him as a volatile boom-or-bust deep threat. The truth? Detroit has a highly favorable fantasy playoff schedule for WRs, and Williams is a Top-5 player in yards per catch while also raising his route participation rate recently. So if you’re looking for a cheap piece of real upside for Weeks 15–17, this is your chance before he becomes the reason someone else steals your playoff matchup.

WR: A.J. Brown (PHI) 

A.J. Brown has lost a lot of his spark this season, but I think that makes him a good trade gamble before it returns. He’s been frustrated, vocal about his role, and hasn’t had the blow-up weeks we’ve come to expect, but his usage still tells the truth: he leads the Eagles in first-read target share and remains a focal point even when the box score looks quiet.  With Philadelphia owning one of the most favorable fantasy playoff schedules for WRs (Raiders, Commanders, and Bills) there’s a clear window for him to swing leagues down the stretch.  So while the noise is loud now, buying low on elite talent with soft playoff matchups is how you steal a title run.
