Best RBs in Rounds 1-6
Read on to find out about the BEST RBs to target in each of the first 6 rounds of your fantasy draft… in two minutes or less.

Round 1: Bijan Robinson (ATL)
Bijan ranked 1st in yards created, 4th in targets, and handled nearly 73% of Atlanta’s backfield touches down the stretch. But now he’s not just elite, he’s unleashed. Zac Robinson is going into his second year with the team and his first with Michael Penix as the starter. In that system last year, Bijan turned 365 touches into nearly 1,900 yards and 15 TDs. The Falcons have the NFL’s easiest rushing schedule, and Bijan was already the RB1 in expected points per game from Week 10 on.
So this is the rare combo of locked-in volume, role, and a soft rushing slate. He’s not just a safe pick, he’s got the best shot to be the top RB.
Round 2: De’Von Achane (MIA)
Achane led all backs in receptions, receiving yards, and target share while running the 4th-most routes. And he gets a target on 29% of those routes when Tua Tagovailoa is healthy. The whole bet is that Tua stays on the field and keeps checking it down to Achane.
So he turns Miami’s short-game scheme into 20-point explosions — and that upside is unmatched in Round 2.
Round 3: Chase Brown (CIN)
Chase Brown averaged 116 yards per game and handled 95% of Cincy’s backfield touches after Week 9. But he wasn’t just a volume back, he caught 54 passes and finished 5th in receptions at the position, helping him climb to RB5 overall in that stretch. And the Bengals didn’t bring in any real competition this offseason.
So in a top-tier offense with no committee threats and the NFL’s 3rd-toughest rushing schedule encouraging more checkdowns? Brown is still an RB1 and the clearest Round 3 value at any position.
R‍ound 4: Alvin Kamara (NO)
Kamara led all RBs in targets, target share, and yards per route run, and finished RB5 in points per game at age 29. But that came with an ugly Saints offense, one that could be even messier now with a rookie QB under center. Kamara only cleared 70 total yards in 1 of 4 games without Derek Carr.
So this isn’t about ceiling, it’s about a locked-in PPR floor, especially with Kellen Moore scheming up high play volume and Kamara profiling as the safest outlet in New Orleans.
Round 5: R.J. Harvey (DEN)
Sean Payton handpicked Harvey with a 2nd-round pick, and he enters a backfield with guys who haven’t been excellent in the passing game. But Harvey already ranked Top-5 in breakaway rate and was a Top-10 back in yards after contact in college. And Denver ranked 1st in run block win rate last year while Payton’s backs have ranked 1st and 5th in target share the past two seasons.
So when you combine the talent, the setup, and the schedule, even with some early-down help from Dobbins, Harvey is the rare rookie RB2 with RB1 access.
So that’s it. Your best RBs to target in your first 6 rounds.
As promised, in two minutes or less.
Over 12,000 players used this to prep last season. My 2025 Draft Kit is open now, but only a few dozen spots are available this year. I’m keeping it limited so I can give members my full attention.
See you tomorrow,
