#5: QB - Kyler Murray (ARI)
Cardinals fans have to love seeing it. Kyler is starting to return to his classic form, and was fantastically efficient passing yesterday. He went 17-for-21 for 266 and 3 touchdowns. Plus he added 59 yards on the ground nicely boosting his fantasy score. These Cardinals have started the year looking good on offense, and Murray is at the heart of it all.
#4: TE - George Kittle (SF)
We know weāre going to get spike weeks from Kittle, who was one of the best at the position on a relatively quiet Sunday for tight ends. He scored over 20 PPR points, and his 2nd-quarter touchdown helped to keep the 49ers in the game before halftime. Itās just too bad Kittle couldnāt lead his team to a win in Minnesota.
#3: WR - DK Metcalf (SEA)
Whenever you can exploit a broken coverage for a 56-yard touchdown, youāre going to look pretty good in fantasy football. Metcalf joined his young teammate Jaxon Smith-Njigba with double-digit receptions and always seemed to be there when Geno Smith needed him in big moments. His ridiculous athleticism was on display all afternoon.
#2: WR - Marvin Harrison Jr. (ARI)
Fantasy managers who drafted MHJ with a top draft pick are breathing a giant sigh of relief today. Harrison rebounded from his poor opening week with 130 yards and 2 of Murrayās 3 touchdown passes. It was the rookieās first game-changing performance and hopefully a sign of things to come if heās on your roster.
#5: WR - Tyreek Hill (MIA)
This isnāt completely a Tyreek Hill problem. Clearly the play, and the subsequent loss of Tua Tagovailoa had an effect on the WR performances for Miami. But, this is a player who was drafted top-3 in most leagues, and heās posting fewer than 7 fantasy points. Thatās not going to work since your roster is built around him.
#4: WR - Xavier Worthy (KC)
The speedy rookie came crashing down to earth in Week 2 after putting up two touchdowns in the opener. With just 3 touches and 22 total yards, he was mainly a nonfactor in the Chiefsā last second win over the Bengals. Maybe he just needs a little more time to adjust to the NFL.
#3: TE - Sam LaPorta (DET)
Itās still early, so Iām not hitting the panic button yet, but LaPortaās start to the season isnāt turning out how his drafters hoped. He posted just 2 catches for 13 yards on the day and still hasnāt scored over the first two weeks of the season. Hereās hoping he can find more room next Sunday against the Cardinals.
#2: QB - Anthony Richardson (IND)
There was always going to be a tougher test waiting for Richardson. It was just a given for a guy who hasnāt played very many games in college or the pros so far. Week 2 and the Packers werenāt kind to the sophomore QB. He was forced into throwing 3 interceptions with a lone touchdown, and was largely held in check on the ground. Better days are ahead for Richardson, but for now heās fighting through some growing pains.
