🤦♂️ Stop drafting AWFUL WRs!
Draft these 5 guys instead
WE ARE BACK.

Today in 5 minutes or less, you’ll learn:
Why Lamb is more like a fantasy Lion 🦁
Don’t be afraid of Scary Terry 😱
Which Steeler is a target vacuum 🎯
The very latest from around the NFL 🏈
CeeDee Lamb (DAL), ADP 10.6, WR7:
There are plenty of reasons to count on CeeDee as your top fantasy WR in 2023.
He had 2 finishes as fantasy WR1 and 5 more in the top-12.
That’s 41% of his games.
Overall he was WR7 in points per game (17.7)
With plenty of strong metrics:
• 9th in YAC (474)
• 10th in air yards (1,594)
• 9th in deep targets (26)
• 6th in yards per route run (2.62)
And if that’s not enough, he was also 8th in route win rate and 10th in total route wins. The dude is a baller.
Not everyone is high on Mike McCarthy as a coach, but Dallas was 3rd in the league in pace of play, so chances should be there.
Plus, Brandin Cooks makes the receiving corps better.
Noah Brown and Michael Gallup have their strengths, but Cooks has always been a savvy route-runner with the ability to put extra pressure on opposing defensive backfields.
He’s 29th in route win rate and 8th in contested catches.
Lamb is one of the best in the game. He wants a contract extension with the team. It’s a smart move for the Cowboys.
It’s a smart move to draft him and lock him into your lineup.
Chris Olave (NO), ADP 19.1, WR12:
Olave had one of the better rookie seasons a pro can have.
WITH Andy Dalton throwing him the football:
• 4th in deep targets (29)
• 12th in route win rate (48.1%)
• 3rd in air yards share (40.8%)
• 5th in unrealized air yards (845)
• 10th in yards per route run (2.57)
So he was getting down the field AND getting open. That’s the basic formula for wideout success (duh).
Derek Carr is in now. In theory he’s an upgrade:
• 5th in air yards (4,701)
• 5th in deep ball attempts (72)
• 2nd in air yards per attempt (9.4)
He was able to support Davante Adams as the overall WR3.
There’s been talk that Michael Thomas might actually, finally, return to full strength this season.
(I know, heard that before…)
If that does happen, these two could be a scary duo.
Olave recently made the top-10 in PFF’s receiving grades, which is impressive for such a young player.
Draft the guy. He’s young, rising, and close to a sure hit.
That’s why I think he will get better in ‘23 and beat his PrizePicks season prop.
Check it out below:
Terry McLaurin (WAS), ADP 44.6, WR24:
Washington’s no. 1 WR has made a name for himself as a star, despite having no consistency at QB.
Much of that is due to his 97th-percentile speed and his ability to get down the field and into the coverage:
• 7th in yards per target (9.9)
• 13th in air yards share (34.5%)
• 12th in unrealized air yards (741)
• 11th in yards per reception (15.5)
The end of the season was especially promising, and he was a top-15 wideout in 3 of the last 5 weeks.
Eric Bieniemy now runs the offense, which is a big deal.
He’s the guy who helped turned the Chiefs into the juggernaut they’ve become over the last few seasons.
He wants to build a good foundation.
McLaurin will play across from Jahan Dotson, going into his second year. The 1st-rounder might be as talented as his teammate and ready to take another step forward.
With these two playing off each other, the offense looks to improve and Terry will be Scary for your fantasy opponents.

Diontae Johnson (PIT), ADP 63, WR33:
Johnson was just WR28, keeping his ADP down.
But he actually commanded the 13th target share (27%) and the 6th-most total targets in the league (147).
He was 2nd in unrealized air yards (875).
Johnson has some other encouraging signs:
• 10th in RZ targets ( 18)
• 4th in juke rate (15.1%)
• 11th in total route wins (240)
The Steeler offense got better as the season went on and the key was the growth of the offensive line.
They’ve had another year to gel along with Kenny Pickett, who has been putting in lots of reps with Johnson.
I think he’s a big value where he’s being drafted. If you get a chance to pounce here, you won’t regret it.
Rashod Bateman (BAL), ADP 88.9, WR45:
Yes, he is still recovering from the 2022 Lisfranc injury.
But the word is he’ll be ready for training camp.
He’s got a 1,000-yard college season in his past, when he averaged over 20 yards per reception at Minnesota in 2019.
The first 3 games of ‘22 looked good:
• 8 grabs
• 226 yards
• 2 touchdowns
Then the foot started acting up.
The skill players in Baltimore are as talented as they’ve been in years, and new OC Todd Monken is expected to inject some pace and innovation into the scheme.
Lamar Jackson is already excited to show the league what he can do with his arm and a little bit more control.
Bateman is being drafted at an identical ADP to his rookie teammate Zay Flowers, but I’ll stick with the vet and the talent he’s shown.
