Players that are better off on your bench in Week 11
Week 11 Sits
Here are 5 players you should really consider sitting in fantasy this week … in two minutes or less.
|
QB: Cam Ward (TEN) vs. HOU
Cam Ward’s had some encouraging flashes, but this week sets up as one of the toughest spots he’ll see all year. Houston’s defense has been relentless against the pass, locking down opposing QBs and forcing constant pressure with their front. Tennessee’s own offense has struggled to find rhythm, especially when falling behind early, and the passing game hasn’t produced consistent chunk plays or red-zone finishes lately. So even if Ward can make a few plays with his legs, the odds of him delivering reliable fantasy output in Week 11 are low. You’re better off sitting him until this offense gets more balance and better matchups.
RB: Kenneth Walker (SEA) @ LAR
Seattle’s backfield time share has been frustrating to fantasy owners, but this week it’s even tougher to trust Walker. He’s splitting touches evenly with Zach Charbonnet, but without goal-line work or passing volume, his fantasy ceiling has nearly vanished. Now he faces the Rams, who’ve allowed the fewest fantasy points per game to running backs and just one rushing touchdown all season. Seattle has been playing from behind in these matchups before, so if the game tilts negative again, Walker could see another quiet day while Charbonnet handles the key snaps.
RB: Tyrone Tracy (NYG) vs. GB
Tyrone Tracy’s short stretch as the Giants’ lead back has been defined by volume but not much spark. He’s averaging under four yards per carry in three of his last four games and continues to share touches with Devin Singletary, who’s been more efficient and involved in the passing game. But this week, the matchup gets even worse: Green Bay has allowed the 5th-fewest fantasy points per game to opposing running backs and just bottled up Saquon Barkley on Monday night. So while Tracy’s usage looks decent on paper, the efficiency, competition for touches, and brutal matchup make him a clear sit in Week 11.
WR: Xavier Worthy (KC) @ DEN
Worthy still gets designed involvement in this offense, but that usage hasn’t turned into trustworthy fantasy output, with just one game over 55 receiving yards and most of last week’s 23 yards coming on a frantic, prevent-defense drive at the very end. Since Rashee Rice returned and immediately commanded more of the offense, Worthy has shifted into that shaky WR3/WR4 zone where his volume is getting squeezed and his week-to-week role feels more volatile than ascending. Denver, meanwhile, has been sucking teams into low-scoring grinders (10-7 over the Raiders, 18-15 over the Texans) while sitting near the top of the league in limiting fantasy quarterbacks. So with his recent production built on empty volume and a matchup that leans toward another ugly, tight game, you’re better off sitting Worthy in Week 11 and rolling with a receiver who has a cleaner path to points.
TE: Cade Otton (TB) vs. BUF
Otton has finally started to matter for fantasy, stacking 25 catches over his last four games and even popping for 9 grabs and 82 yards against the Patriots, but that surge has come in passing game scripts, and the Pats allow points to TEs anyway. This week, they run into a Bills defense that has essentially slammed the door on tight ends, sitting near the top of the league with the second-fewest fantasy points allowed to the position and refusing to give up meaningful damage there all season. Otton’s recent volume is more about circumstance than guaranteed role, so against a matchup this hostile to tight ends, he slides back into “hold if you’ve got him, but keep him on the bench” territory for Week 11.
So that’s the list. The players you shouldn’t rely on in Week 11… as promised, in 2 minutes or less.
