Guys better off on your bench this week

Week 15 Sits

Here are 5 players you should really consider sitting in fantasy this week … in two minutes or less.

QB: Jacoby Brissett (ARI) @ HOU

Jacoby Brissett has been piling up volume out of sheer necessity, but everything in this matchup pushes him toward a sit.

  • He took endless big hits last week, absorbing three sacks while pressured on nearly every dropback.

  • Houston now presents a defense that has been smothering quarterbacks, even shutting down Mahomes just last week.

  • Arizona has spiraled against strong opponents, and Brissett’s huge yardage has usually come from desperate, negative game scripts.

Brissett’s toughness keeps him viable in volume spots, but this is the worst matchup he’s seen all year, so he belongs on benches.

RB: Bam Knight (ARI) @ HOU

Knight’s role is shrinking at exactly the wrong time, and the matchup only makes things worse.

  • He managed just 16 rushing yards last week and split work with multiple backs while the offense got blown out.

  • His efficiency has cratered, with Houston representing a defense that has been dominant against opposing ground games.

  • Arizona’s offense is unstable, and his touches fluctuate week to week, making him extremely difficult to trust.

Even with the occasional burst, this matchup is a brick wall. You’re better off sitting him.

RB: David Montgomery (DET) @ LAR

Montgomery continues scoring, but Jahmyr Gibbs has started to shrink his workload into pure “breather-back” territory.

  • He’s had six, eight, and five carries in his last three games as Jahmyr Gibbs has fully taken over the backfield.

  • Even his Week 14 line was saved by a 35-yard touchdown; without it he’d have been nearly unusable.

  • The Rams have allowed the 4th-fewest fantasy points to RBs and just two rushing TDs all season.

Montgomery can always fall into a score, but the role and matchup combo makes him a firm sit.

WR: Khalil Shakir (BUF) @ NE

Shakir can pop, but his recent usage has collapsed heading into a brutal defensive matchup.

  • He has just 3 catches for 21 yards over his last two games as Buffalo shifted targets to tight ends.

  • He briefly hobbled off last week after getting tangled with a lineman, adding another variable to his already thin workload.

  • New England has played excellent coverage during their recent surge and has routinely erased secondary WRs.

If you’re streaming for floor, maybe… but otherwise, Shakir is a sit.

WR: Michael Pittman (IND) @ SEA

Pittman’s volume bounced back, but the underlying issues in this passing game remain a real concern.

  • Before last week’s rebound, he posted three straight games under 30 yards… a severe downswing for a volume-dependent WR.

  • The Colts’ QB situation remains unsettled, with Daniel Jones now out for the year and a possible starting grandfather at QB.

  • Seattle has been one of the league’s toughest secondaries, allowing the eighth-fewest WR fantasy points.

He’ll always command targets, but in this matchup and with Indy fading, Pittman slides into firm bench territory.

So that’s the list. The players you shouldn’t rely on in Week 15 to get you through your playoffs… as promised, in 2 minutes or less.
