Xavier Worthy Injured

First off, it was a bad night for Kansas City. Not only did they drop their opener to the Chargers, 27-21, but Xavier Worthy left the game with a shoulder injury and didn’t return. He collided with Travis Kelce early in the game, got X-rays, and was ruled out. Early signs point toward a possible dislocation, but we won’t know for sure for a day or two. For fantasy, this is brutal. With Rashee Rice already suspended, the Chiefs are down to Hollywood Brown and Kelce as their top weapons.

CMC Responds to Injury Panic

Fantasy managers can relax, I think? Christian McCaffrey says his calf issue is nothing serious. He sat out Friday’s practice, but he told reporters he feels “great” and expects to handle a normal role against Seattle. Still, fantasy managers should keep backups ready just in case. Anytime McCaffrey even hints at injury, it matters. He’s a RB1 in all formats, but risk management is important.

Malik Nabers Ready to Go

Speaking of fantasy first-rounders, Giants star Malik Nabers has some back tightness, but Brian Daboll says he’ll be fine for Week 1. The team scaled him back at practice, but he’s not on the injury report and is still locked in as the WR1 against Washington. For fantasy, this is an easy one: you’re starting him everywhere.

Marvin Mims CLEARED for Takeoff

Marvin Mims has been cleared to play Week 1 against the Titans Daily News Items. He’ll slide in as Denver’s No. 2 behind Courtland Sutton, and after flashing elite efficiency last season, he’s got real upside. The Titans’ secondary is one of the softest spots in the league, making Mims a sneaky FLEX play.

Isaiah Likely OUT

Isaiah Likely won’t suit up against the Bills because of a foot injury. He missed the whole week of practice and could even hit IR soon if he doesn’t progress. For fantasy, this means he’s droppable in shallower leagues. Charlie Kollar steps in as TE2, but Mark Andrews is the only Baltimore tight end you want to start.

So keep your eye on the news as the weekend continues… as promised, in 2 minutes or less.
