📝 Predicting NFL Free Agent Landing Spots
Who will sign these five players?
NFL Free Agent Forecast
5 players whose signings will shake up the NFL in 2026… in two minutes or less.
#5 – TE: Dallas Goedert to Denver Broncos
Goedert just finished a season with 11 touchdowns (1st among TEs) and Denver’s offense is begging for a true “Joker.”
15 red zone targets (7th) and 11 TDs (1st) show he’s still an elite scoring weapon
427 total routes (10th) and 82 targets (11th) prove he’s not just a part-time option
Denver lists TE as a need, noting Evan Engram’s minimal impact and the desire for an every-down mismatch piece
Sean Payton has always maximized tight ends, and pairing Goedert’s red-zone dominance with that system would immediately elevate the Broncos’ offense.
#4 – WR: Mike Evans to Buffalo Bills
Evans’ 2025 counting stats were muted by injury, but the usage profile still screamed WR1.
27.6% targets per route run (8th) showed elite demand when on the field
35.3% air yards share and 13.6 ADOT (14th) show he’s still stretching defenses
Buffalo’s desperately needs an outside WR after playoff snaps went to stopgap options, like Brandin Cooks
Josh Allen hasn’t had a true red-zone alpha in two seasons. Evans instantly fixes that, and gives Buffalo the splash they’ve been missing.

#3 – RB: Rico Dowdle to New Orleans Saints
Dowdle quietly posted back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons and now wants a featured role… and New Orleans desperately needs one.
1,076 rushing yards (14th) and 964 yards created (11th)… production that travels
236 carries (15th) plus 50 targets (12th) show three-down capability
Saints were 31st in rushing EPA per carry and have a major need at RB after Kamara bottomed out
Dowdle wants the bulk of the carries. The Saints need a reset. That combination could spike fantasy value overnight.
And if you’re interested in the top free agent QBs… wait until you see what happens at No. 1.
#2 – WR: Rashid Shaheed to Miami Dolphins
Shaheed isn’t just a receiver, he’s a field-position weapon who flips games.
92 targets and 59 receptions in 2025 show legitimate offensive involvement
Three kick-return touchdowns and 418 return yards in nine games highlight his explosive value
Miami’s release of Tyreek Hill leaves them in need of a downfield WR threat
The Dolphins’ offense thrives on speed and space. Shaheed would immediately restore vertical juice — and bring special teams impact with it.
#1 – QB: Kyler Murray to Atlanta Falcons
Murray isn’t quite a free agent until March 11th, but it looks unlikely the Cardinals will find a trade partner by then. Assuming Murray hits the market, the Falcons are a great spot for him. .
Arizona already signaled the end of the relationship, informing Murray he’ll be released if a trade doesn’t materialize — making the former No. 1 pick the most competent QB option in free agency.
Atlanta is quietly a strong fit: the roster already features Kyle Pitts, Drake London, and Bijan Robinson, a trio that needs better quarterback play to unlock the offense.
The Falcons also have a clear QB need — Kirk Cousins is expected to be released and Michael Penix Jr. is coming off a third ACL surgery, leaving the team searching for a reliable starter.
Murray hasn’t delivered consistently in Arizona, but a reset with Atlanta’s weapons and an open NFC South could be exactly the situation needed to salvage his career.
So that’s the list… Five free agents. Five fits that make structural sense. And five moves that could swing the 2026 fantasy landscape the moment the ink dries… as promised, in 2 minutes or less.
See you next time,
