Week 5 Trades
Here are 5 players that look like great buys going into Week 5 … in two minutes or less.

QB: Daniel Jones (IND)
Jones has squashed the narrative that he was washed up in New York. He’s stacked efficient starts for Indy, throwing for 250+ yards in three of his first four games while adding rushing production and multiple scores on the ground. But people are still anchored to the old perception of Jones, overlooking how different he looks in Shane Steichen’s system with a solid offensive line and real weapons. So if your league mates still think he’s the same turnover-prone QB, now’s the perfect time to buy low on a player who’s producing at a high level and fits an offense that actually knows how to use him.
RB: David Montgomery (DET)
Montgomery just put up only 12 yards on 9 carries in Week 4, and on the surface it looks like he’s fading behind Jahmyr Gibbs. But that was a blowout win where the offense never needed to lean on him, and one week earlier he gashed Baltimore for 151 yards and 2 touchdowns. So in reality, he’s still locked into a steady role as Detroit’s 1B, tied to one of the league’s highest-scoring offenses. That makes him a perfect buy-low target while his manager is frustrated.
WR: Jakobi Meyers (LV)
Tre Tucker is seen as the shiny new toy. But Jakobi is quietly reclaiming his spot as the top option in this passing game. He just led the Raiders with seven targets in Week 4, so the idea that Tucker has fully passed him doesn’t hold up. The Raiders’ offense has a real quarterback in Geno Smith and is running at a faster pace under Chip Kelly, so Meyers’ role as the steady WR1 is only going to solidify. That dip in production has created a buy window, but his volume is too consistent to stay discounted, which makes him a smart trade target right now.
WR: Ladd McConkey (LAC)
McConkey’s recent box scores have been quiet, but that’s not the whole story. He’s been squeezed out of his volume share by the return of Keenan Allen and the long-awaited emergence of Quentin Johnston. McConkey capped at just one grab in Week 4 despite six looks. That kind of opportunity doesn’t just disappear, especially in an offense where every other receiver is designed to clear space for him. Allen is 33, and it’s fair to wonder if he can maintain his dominant role all year long. So for Ladd, the big weeks are coming.
TE: Dalton Kincaid (BUF)
Dalton Kincaid hasn’t piled up huge yardage weeks, but he’s already found the end zone three times in four games, showing his role in the red zone is secure. His targets per route rate is elite for a tight end, and so even if the Bills’ passing volume is inconsistent, he’s the kind of player who can swing matchups with just a few looks. Add in that Buffalo is one of the league’s top scoring teams and Josh Allen has no obvious WR1, and you’ve got a steady piece with real upside that’s cheaper than he should be.
So that’s the list. 5 players to pitch a deal for in the Week 5 trade market… as promised, in two minutes or less.
