With a new setting, their outlooks surge
5 Picks on New Teams
Today I’m talking about 5 players who have switched teams this season, but have the outlooks that make them worth the draft capital… in two minutes or less.

5. Evan Engram (DEN), ADP 87, TE8
Evan Engram finished just 12th in fantasy points per game last year across his 9 appearances. But he was playing through a hamstring injury, posted a career-low in yards per catch, and still saw over 5.8 receptions per game, which was a drop, but still pretty decent.
So now Sean Payton gives him the same “joker” role that made Jimmy Graham a monster. And that offense just handed him $20M guaranteed to be a core weapon . The bar is low. The volume is elite. And if he even gets 4–6 touchdowns, he could destroy that ADP.
4. Davante Adams (LAR), ADP 37.8, WR17
Everyone sees the age. He’s 32, coming off a 9th place finish in points per game, and now sharing routes with Puka. But over the final 6 games last year, Adams averaged 10.5 targets per game, still showing he can ball out when necessary.
So now he lands in LA, where Cooper Kupp saw a 30% target share before fading, and Stafford has already peppered Adams in early red zone work. You're getting the Kupp role… with the better route runner. If he clicks in this system, WR17 will look like THEFT.
3. Justin Fields (NYJ), ADP 105.8, QB11
Justin Fields finished 5th in points per game in 2022, and 9th in 2023. But most drafters are scared off by the dislocated toe and the fact he’s changed teams again.
So, here’s the truth: Fields is already back at full strength, and has ZERO threats to his job. He’s averaged over 9 rushing attempts per game the last two years, and gets a run-first setup with creative usage at the goal line. You’re getting late-round Lamar in the 9th.
2. Jordan Mason (MIN), ADP 118.4, RB38
Jordan Mason led all qualified RBs in yards after contact per attempt last year. But he was buried behind CMC, and fantasy managers forgot he even existed. So Minnesota gave him $3M guaranteed, is giving him early RB1 reps, and praised his violent style and pass pro in pressers.
This backfield doesn’t have a locked bellcow. And if Aaron Jones misses even 2–3 games, Mason is the kind of high-efficiency runner who could take over and never give the job back. He’s a league-winner stash for the price of a kicker.
So there you have it: 5 players on new teams worth their draft capital…
As promised, in two minutes or less.
Over 12,000 players used this to prep last season. My 2025 Draft Kit is open now, but only a few dozen spots are available this year. I’m keeping it limited so I can give members my full attention.
See you tomorrow,
