Pass-catchers that won the day in Indy
Four WR Prospects
4 wide receivers who have teams rethinking their draft boards… in two minutes or less.
Omar Cooper Jr. (Indiana)
Indiana’s breakout receiver quietly erased any lingering athletic concerns at the combine, confirming the physical playmaker scouts saw on tape.
Posted 69 catches for 937 yards and 13 touchdowns in 2025 while averaging 13.6 yards per reception.
Ran a 4.42 forty at 6'0", 196 pounds, answering speed questions and validating his ability to separate vertically.
Physical after the catch with strong contact balance, highlighted by a 10-catch, 207-yard, 4-TD explosion in one game.
The tape already showed a tough, explosive playmaker… the combine simply confirmed he has the athletic profile to make that production translate to the NFL.
Chris Brazzell (Tennessee)
Chris Brazzell already had the production of a rising prospect, but his combine performance may have pushed him into the first-round conversation.
At 6'5", he shocked scouts by running a blazing 4.37 forty, a rare size-speed combination.
Broke out in 2025 with 1,017 yards and 9 touchdowns on just 62 catches, averaging 16.4 yards per reception.
Uses length and body control to dominate downfield and win 50-50 jump balls against defensive backs.
Receivers with his frame, speed, and vertical ability are rare, and that’s exactly why Brazzell’s combine showing has scouts paying closer attention.
Ted Hurst (Georgia State)
Small-school receivers always face skepticism entering the draft, but Ted Hurst’s combine may have erased those doubts.
Produced 71 catches for 1,004 yards in 2025 after another near-1,000-yard season the year before.
At roughly 6'4", 206 pounds, he ran a 4.42 forty, proving rare size-speed ability.
Led all wide receivers with an 11-foot-2 broad jump, showcasing elite explosion for a boundary target.
The production was already there, but pairing that with elite athletic traits suddenly makes Hurst one of the most intriguing sleepers in this draft class.
And the final name on today’s list might be the fastest weapon of them all…
Zachariah Branch (Georgia)
Zachariah Branch’s speed was already well known, but his combine performance proved he’s more than just a gadget player.
Led the SEC with 81 receptions for 811 yards and six touchdowns in 2025.
Ran a 4.35 forty with a 1.50 ten-yard split, confirming the elite acceleration that makes him dangerous in space.
Showed strong hands and downfield ability in drills, hinting at a larger route tree than he displayed in college.
Branch already had the production and explosiveness. But the combine simply showed he has the tools to develop into a far more complete receiver at the next level.
So that’s the list… Four prospective rookies who could be stretching defenses for your favorite team in 2026.… as promised, in 2 minutes or less.
See you next time,
