🪑 Fantasy Sits of Week 7

These players have tough situations this week

Week 7 Sits

Here are 6 players you should really consider sitting in fantasy this week … in two minutes or less.

RB: Tony Pollard (TEN) vs. NE

Pollard’s workload isn’t the problem, it’s the offense he’s stuck in. He’s continued to lead the Tennessee backfield in touches, but his efficiency and scoring chances keep getting dragged down by constant negative game scripts. The Titans have lost five of their first six games and just put up 10 points against Las Vegas, and they’re heading into a matchup against a Patriots defense that’s heating up during their three-game win streak. So even if Pollard gets volume, it’s unlikely to come with the red-zone looks or sustained drives you need for a strong fantasy day.

WR: Jauan Jennings (SF) vs. ATL

Jennings gutted it out last week with five broken ribs, but he clearly wasn’t himself… he managed just one catch for seven yards while Kendrick Bourne exploded as Mac Jones’ go-to option. San Francisco’s offense is getting healthier with Ricky Pearsall and George Kittle trending toward returns, so there’s a real chance Jennings slides down the target pecking order in a tough matchup against an Atlanta defense that’s allowed the sixth-fewest fantasy points to opposing wide receivers this year. That’s not the setup you want when a player’s already battling through pain.

QB: Trevor Lawrecence (JAX) vs. LAR

Lawrence has flashed at times this season, but his inconsistency has been just as clear. He’s topped 250 passing yards in some games, yet he’s also had multiple outings with shaky efficiency and sack issues, including taking seven sacks just last week. This matchup is no cakewalk either. The Rams have held opponents under 20 points in four of their last five and have consistently kept games tight. Jacksonville’s offense has been functional, not explosive, over the last few weeks, so Lawrence profiles as a risky start in Week 7, especially in 1QB formats where you can pivot to a steadier option.

RB: Bam Knight/Michael Carter (ARI) vs. GB

The Arizona backfield is totally split right now, with Carter getting the slight touch edge, but Knight getting the goal-line work. But the real issue this week is the matchup: Green Bay has allowed the fifth-fewest fantasy points to opposing RBs, and they’ve been especially stingy on the ground since Week 1. So even if you pick the right Cardinal, a top-end run defense makes both of them tough to trust in lineups this week.

TE: Theo Johnson (NYG) @ DEN

Theo Johnson’s had enough volume to be effective lately, but the matchup is working against him this week. He’s seen at least four targets in three straight games, but now he faces a Denver defense that’s been locking down opposing offenses, allowing just 11 points last week and ranking among the stingiest units overall. The Giants’ passing game has leaned short, but that kind of low-upside role won’t cut it against a defense that thrives on limiting scoring opportunities. So even with his usage trending up, this is a tough spot to trust him in your lineup.

So that’s the list. The players you shouldn’t rely on in Week 7… as promised, in 2 minutes or less.
