These players have tough situations this week

Week 6 Sits

Here are 5 players you should really consider sitting in fantasy this week … in two minutes or less.

QB: Justin Fields (NYJ) vs. DEN

Fields’s decent Week 5 statline was all garbage-time production after the Jets were blown out early by Dallas. He was sacked five times and hit nine more, a reminder that New York’s offensive line still can’t keep him upright. The bigger problem is what’s next. Denver’s defense just held Jalen Hurts and the undefeated Eagles to 17 points and currently ranks top-3 in fewest fantasy points allowed to quarterbacks. Fields has the rushing upside to flash, but this week he’s walking into a defensive buzzsaw with no protection and no rhythm, so he belongs on your bench.

RB: Isiah Pacheco (KC) vs. DET

Pacheco’s been efficient when he touches the ball, but his role has turned into a frustrating timeshare. Kareem Hunt matched his workload last week and stole both touchdowns in the red zone. Kansas City’s offense is still leaning on Mahomes through the air, and now they face a Detroit defense that ranks top-7 at limiting running backs and has been steamrolling opponents lately. So unless the Chiefs suddenly change their usage split, Pacheco’s volume and scoring chances look too capped to trust in Week 6.

RB: Chase Brown (CIN) @ GB

Chase Brown’s role has stayed steady, but the production has flatlined. He’s averaged under 3.5 yards per carry in four of five games, and the Bengals offense has been stuck behind negative game scripts with Jake Browning at QB. He did pick up passing volume last week, but it came entirely in checkdowns during a blowout loss. The Packers’ defense has bottled up the run in multiple games this year, so even if Brown gets touches, the efficiency and scoring chances aren’t there. He’s a sit until Cincinnati’s offense finds stability.

WR: Jaylen Waddle (MIA) vs. LAC

Waddle finally looked like a true WR1 last week without sharing targets with Tyreek Hill, but that came against a soft Carolina defense, and this matchup is a major step up. The Chargers have held opposing wideouts to the fourth-fewest fantasy points, suffocating passing games with tight coverage and limited yards after catch. Miami’s offense has also been erratic lately, relying on big plays instead of rhythm, which makes Waddle’s floor shaky when Tua struggles to sustain drives. So while he flashed the ceiling in Week 5, this is a “bet against the matchup” week.

TE: Dalton Kincaid (BUF) @ ATL

Dalton Kincaid popped last week with 108 yards, but that might’ve been the outlier, not the breakout. The Bills’ passing rhythm has been up and down, and now he draws a Falcons defense that’s quietly erased every tight end they’ve faced this season. Kincaid’s volume looks steady, but his role remains capped in a committee-heavy passing attack, so against a defense that’s been a TE graveyard, this feels like a “don’t chase last week’s points” situation.

So that’s the list. 5 players you shouldn’t rely on in Week 6… as promised, in 2 minutes or less.
