📈 Fantasy's the Top-12 Picks

Taking another look at the best players in the game

Fantasy’s Top-12

August is crunch time for fantasy football drafts. Here’s another look at the top-12 players… in two minutes or less.

12. De’Von Achane (MIA)

Subscribers know how much I love Achane. He feasts on checkdowns from Tua, who knows how to feed him in space. He might be the most explosive player in fantasy and RB1 is within his range of outcomes.

11. Malik Nabers (NYG)

Let me be clear: I’m not doubting Nabers as a talent by bumping him this low. He led the league in target share and was 2nd in target rate on a bad team. But the Giants' offense is no more exciting this season. If Russ Wilson makes them better, then the target share may naturally wane. So I believe in the player as a Round 1 pick, just don’t love the situation.

10. Nico Collins (HOU)

Collins rounds out my Top-10. He got most his team's targets, deep shots, and red zone looks when healthy. But he was also 3rd in yards per route and 8th in points per game. So if Stroud finds even a fraction of his 2023 form, Nico's gonna break fantasy.

9. Amon-Ra St. Brown (DET)

He's been 4th in points per game for two straight seasons. But he's especially dangerous in the red zone, where Goff looked his way 32 times last year. So, you're getting elite floor AND top-5 weekly upside.

8. Christian McCaffrey (SF)

Everyone knows the injury risk, but by all accounts of his teammates and coaches, he’s healthy and explosive this summer. So, what’s the difference between last summer and now? Nothing. Except mid-round drafters have a shot at the ceiling.

7. Puka Nacua (LAR)

Nacua missed 5 games last season, and still almost went over 1,000 yards. But after Week 8 he was second only to Ja'Marr Chase in targets, receptions, and yards. So imagine what he can do fully healthy.

6. Saquon Barkley (PHI)

Including the Eagles’ Super Bowl run, Barkley had over 480 touches. That means there’s some risk of injury or regression that his usual ADP isn’t baking in. But, on the bright side, the scheme and the blocking haven't changed. So, you're still getting locked-in volume in a run-first scheme behind a very good offensive line.

5. Jahmyr Gibbs (DET)

Gibbs led the league with 20 touchdowns and finished as the 2nd in points per game. But he's cleared 50 catches two years in a row, and a full tenth of his carries break for more than 15 yards. So he's not just efficient; he's dangerous.

4. Justin Jefferson (MIN)

Jefferson’s been top-5 in points per game for 4 straight years, and he’s done it with multiple QBs. So, I’m not particularly concerned with the change to McCarthy. But with Jefferson’s soft tissue injury, the two are missing reps together. So there's more risk than people want to admit.

There’s your new Top-12 draft picks. Get this right and dominate your draft!

As promised, in two minutes or less.

Over 12,000 players used this to prep last season. My 2025 Draft Kit is open now, but only a few dozen spots are available this year. I’m keeping it limited so I can give members my full attention.

See you tomorrow,
