QB: Brock Purdy (SF) - $6,400
If youāre looking to save money at QB, youāre looking at Purdy or Jared Goff, and the history with the 49ers doesnāt look favorable for Goff. Thereās the indoor/outdoor narrative of course, but I think the louder signal away from Goff is the pressure that San Franciscoās defense can generate.
Then thereās the fact that weāve totally exploited the Lionsā defense all year in the passing game. Those stars should produce considering theyāre the driving force behind Purdy being 3rd in the league in passing TDs this season, according to Fantasy Lifeās Stats.
QB: Lamar Jackson (BAL) - $7,700
With respect to the other QBs on the slate, Jackson remains the obvious pay-up option this weekend. The reason remains the same as it ever was: the rushing upside.
Last week saw Lamar continue to take off with another 100 yards and 2 TDs on the ground combined with efficient passing. He was the leading DFS QB of the week, and I honestly expect that to be the case again.
RB: Christian McCaffrey (SF) - $9,000
CMC is easily the best RB play on the board. Itās why the salary has to be so high. Let me tell you how much of a lock he is to produce. Heās almost even money to score TWO touchdowns.
The other running backs like Isiah Pacheco or Jahmyr Gibbs arenāt bad plays by any means, and CMC will be tough to fit into a winning lineup, but if you can fit him in then go for it.
RB: Justice Hill (BAL) - $4,800
Justice Hill provides a nice salary cut off of some of the other guys. Even in a full-blown committee with Gus Edwards, he could still see somewhere in the neighborhood of a dozen touches, and passing game work will go to him as well. Remember, James Cook ran rampant over KC last weekend. So thereās a real possibility for these Baltimore backs.
WR: Brandon Aiyuk (SF) - $6,900
Aiyuk is too cheap not to mention. Heās $1,000 cheaper than Amon-Ra St. Brown, and the 49ers are going to have an easier time throwing the ball in this game. Throw in the fact that we may have a limited or even absent Deebo Samuel and this is a no-brainer.
WR: Rashee Rice (KC) - $6,500
This is a fairly difficult matchup for Rice, but the one place you can really find some room against them is from the slot. The Ravens play so much high safety defense that you can get them underneath. Rice leads the Chiefs in yards against those types of looks.
WR: Zay Flowers (BAL) - $5,800
I have to mention Flowers as the WR to go with if youāre paying up for Lamar at QB. I do not know if the Mark Andrews return will happen or whether it will skew the work for the Ravens, but as of now, the volume heās gotten makes him look like a solid play.
TE: Travis Kelce (KC) - $6,600
Kelce does a fair amount of damage in the middle of the defense which is where you can create some noise against Baltimore. Some TEs have found success against them in certain spots this season. Kelce has looked good lately, even scoring a big TD last weekend in the cold. If the Chiefs are going to win this game, who do you think the ball is going to?
TE: George Kittle (SF) - $5,300
With the salaries on Kittle, Aiyuk, and Purdy, you could potentially fit all of them into your lineup for a 49ers super stack. Not to mention, whenever Deebo Samuel isnāt on the field, Kittle is an automatic smash. One look at the comparison tool from Fantasy Life and you can see that when Deebo missed time in Weeks 7-8 this season, Kittleās numbers went crazy.
DST: Detroit Lions - $2,600
I know Iāve been picking on these guys and talking about how the 49ers are just going to smash this week. Thatās all still true, and yet Detroit has the cheapest defense who is about to face a lot of pass attempts. All you really need is to grab a pick or two to make it worthwhile.
