#5: WR - DeAndre Hopkins (KC)
DHop knows he’s just walked into the best-case situation for winning now. While he was only able to haul in 2 of Patrick Mahomes’s targets in his first outing with the Chiefs, he’ll benefit greatly from catching passes from the best QB he’s ever played with. You’re chasing the star power for the upside if you make this one.
#4: RB - Chase Brown (CIN)
Brown’s role has only grown for the Bengals, as he’s the clear number 1 over Zack Moss. He received 12 carries to Moss’s 5 on Sunday. While both backs struggled against the stingy Eagles, Cincinnati is still in the top-3rd of the league in scoring. Playing in Joe Burrow’s backfield as the top option will lead to production. So, make a move for Brown.
#3: RB - Brian Robinson (WAS)
Robinson didn’t have a great week, but it was his only game this year outside of the top-25 PPR RBs. Admittedly, the Commanders will face some tough rushing defenses int he next part of the schedule. But, things significantly lighten up as the fantasy playoffs approach. The way the this offense is developing under Jayden Daniels, Robinson is worth taking a shot at.
#2: WR- Ladd McConkey (LAC)
After being questionable for the majority of the week, McConkey turned in his best performance of the season: 111 yards, 2 touchdowns, and 29.1 PPR points. It’s apparent that McConkey is on the rise. He now has at least 6 targets in 5 straight games, going back to Week 3. And, with teams like Baltimore, Tampa Bay, and Atlanta coming up, he should be able to take advantage and continue to churn out more good weeks.
#5: RB - Tank Bigsby (JAX)
Bigsby has been solid, but Doug Pederson has publicly stated that Travis Etienne will retake the starting role when he gets healthy. That’s frustrating for Bigsby’s fantasy ceiling. The best course of action may be to trade him now and return some value before Etienne’s return, which could come as soon as this weekend.
#4: WR - Khalil Shakir (BUF)
Shakir had a HUGE game, finding the open spots against the Seahawks’ secondary. He caught 9 of 10 targets for 107 yards. But, with Amari Cooper still getting settled, as well as the continued growth of Keon Coleman, Shakir will probably see quieter games going forward. So, take advantage of his big day and sell high.
#3: WR - Davante Adams (NYJ)
Nothing is wrong with Davante, but Aaron Rodgers looks cooked. Yes, he had a 111 rating. But, it was just his second time cracking 100 this year, the other being the first matchup against New England. His mobility isn’t where it used to be, and Garrett Wilson still seems like the no. 1 WR on the Jets whether Adams is there or not. He’ll probably turn in some good weeks as a Jet, but the reputation is still greater than the reality.
#2: RB - Rhamondre Stevenson (NE)
Stevenson’s Week 8 was padded by 2 touchdowns against the Jets. But, make no mistake, his fantasy value is fading. He’s averaging just 4.3 true yards per carry, which is 32nd in the league. He’s 58th in fantasy points per opportunity. If Drake Maye has to miss any time with his concussion, the entire New England offense suffers, and Rhamondre goes with it.
