QB is a weird position in fantasy.

Most people would agree (in redraft) that it makes sense to draft one late.

I tend to live in the 7th round or later camp, myself.

Even though I recognize the argument for grabbing one of the elite QBs with rushing upside (in best ball) early.

The best QB pick in fantasy football (right now) is the best of both worlds.

He's entering a contract year with plenty to prove after his team declined his 5th-year option.

He was the QB8 overall & 3rd in rushing yards per game....

Before a concussion slowed his 2021 season (FantasyPros- @AndrewErickson_ )

The offensive staff has talked in the offseason about 'unleashing' this player...

He has all the tools, but has been in a bad system/organizational situation.

Played last season behind an offensive line that Pro Football Focus graded as the third-worst in the league.

They've addressed this issue in the first round of the draft and in free agency.

Decision-making has been an issue for this QB in the past.

Don't forget there can be a huge difference between a good "fantasy QB" and a good "real life" QB.

This guy's at his best when making plays with his legs.

And this all may sound familiar for his new coach.

Offensive coordinator for a QB who has been an elite fantasy player the past 2 seasons with similar criticisms.

PlayerProfiler has his closest comp as Matt Hasselbeck, but I think his ceiling for fantasy is far closer to the former.

This is his 3rd head coach and 4th o-line coordinator.

Let's not be so quick to bury him.

No team had more 1st round draft capital since 2018 than the Giants (@SharpFootball).
