START: QB - Patrick Mahomes (KC)
Mahomes hasn’t always been a strong fantasy start this season. But, he’s heating up significantly lately, with 3 QB1 finishes over the last 4 games, including 3 separate games with 3 touchdowns. As the calendar approaches December, the Chiefs are getting themselves into playoff form, and Mahomes is a huge part of that.
SIT: RB - Ameer Abdullah (LV)
To be fair, this applies to all Raider running backs. Due to a tough front, and being in front of other teams, the Chiefs tend to limit their opposition’s backfields. They are clear and away the top defense in preventing big fantasy games. So, the Raiders won’t be able to get much going there.
START: TE - Brock Bowers (LV)
I know. If you are the Brock Bowers owner, you’re starting him. He’s the top TE in fantasy. But, the matchup here is better than you think, too. The Chiefs are allowing 13.6 PPR points per game to the position, which is good for 6th-worst in the NFL. Bowers is arguably the only option from Vegas worth starting every week.
SIT: RB - Isiah Pacheco (KC)
Pacheco owners will be chomping at the bit to move him from the IR to an active roster spot. But, I’d advise caution this week if you have the luxury to do so. The guy had a broken leg. The team is not desperate for his services because Kareem Hunt has played well in his absence. Give it another week on Pacheco and you’ll reap the benefits later.
