Itā€™s Touchdown Tuesday! Unleash the Fantasy Magic!

Today in 5 minutes or less, youā€™ll learn:

  • Garrett Wilson is king in NYC šŸ‘‘

  • Kenny Pickettā€™s soul of the Steeler offense šŸ˜‡

  • Push the button on the young Miami back šŸ¬

  • NFL headlines youā€™ll need to know šŸˆ

Garrett Wilson (NYJ), ADP 15.1, WR11:

When Joe Flacco or Mike White started at QB last season, Wilson was WR8 in fantasy points per game. Now he gets to play with Aaron Rodgers.

Even over the course of the year he showed good raw stats:

ā€¢ 6th in total targets (147)

ā€¢ 11th in raw air yards (1,575)

ā€¢ 6th in unrealized air yards (837)

It seems to say that with a bit more QB consistency, heā€™s ready to take off (get it, cause heā€™s a Jet?)

I also think heā€™s in line for more scoring, as he scored just 4 TDs on 19 RZ targets, which was 9th-most in the league.

Wilsonā€™s 22 broken tackles after the catch was 2nd in the NFL to just Deebo Samuel (PFF).

There is some concern about Rodgers preferring his guys, particularly Allen Lazard who is already familiar. But Wilson is still the most talented guy on the roster.

The possibility is that he becomes elite this season.

Dalton Schultz (HOU), ADP 112.7, TE11:

The Texansā€™ offense will undoubtedly run into some growing pains with C.J. Stroud under center (should he win the starting job officially), but heā€™s considered accurate and represents a raw talent upgrade over Davis Mills.

As for Schultz, he finds himself in a good situation.

After finishing 9th in fantasy PPG (9.5) on the back of 57 catches for 577 yards, he joins a team that targeted 6 different TEs in 2022.

They combined for 131 targets, 77 catches, and 959 yards.

And 3 of them are no longer on the roster.

Going back to Schultzā€™s 2021 provides a rosier look:

ā€¢ TE3 in fantasy

ā€¢ Caught 78 balls for 808 yards and 8 TDs.

With a little bit of chemistry in the new offense, he could be in line for a huge breakout season.

Kenny Pickett (PIT), ADP 192.3, QB19:

Pickett had some strengths as a rookie, particularly on deep passes and passes under pressure:

ā€¢ 1st in deep ball catchable rate

ā€¢ 6th in deep ball accuracy rating

ā€¢ 1st in pressured catchable pass rate

ā€¢ 6th in pressured completion percent

The Steelers showed an uncanny knack for improvement around Pickett as the season wore on. The offensive line allowed 3 sacks per game from Weeks 1-9, and just 1.3 sacks per game from Week 10 on.

Itā€™s that kind of momentum building that makes me believe in this team and its coaching staff.

Pickett himself got more comfortable too, throwing just 1 of his 9 picks after his first 5 starts.

I expect him to continue to take care of the football like he did in the back half of the season.

Thatā€™s why Iā€™m picking him to throw LESS THAN 11.5 INTs on PrizePicks.

Kenneth Walker (SEA), ADP 43.8, RB16:

The Seahawks fed Walker like a bell cow.

He was 11th in carries (228) on the 13th opportunity share (65.3%) on his way to RB16 in fantasy PPG (13.5).

He also got the 3rd-most RZ touches (52).

When Rashaad Penny was hurt, Walkerā€™s performance was even better. He rose all the way up to RB8 in fantasy PPG.

The risk here comes from Walkerā€™s pedestrian work in the passing game and how much rookie Zach Charbonnet will be involved early in the season.

Itā€™s a situation worth monitoring, but Seattle often rewards its top back with touches; Walker could be that again.

Isaiah Hodgins (NYG), ADP 205.6, WR75:

Hodgins isnā€™t a name on many peopleā€™s radars at the moment, as evidenced by his post-200 ADP.

Heā€™s only appeared in 11 games in 2 years, catching 37 passes for 392 yards. Itā€™s a very meh stat line.

However, Hodgins has a huge 6ā€™4ā€ frame and a large catch radius that makes it easy on QBs (8th in catchable target rate), and allows him to get open:

ā€¢ 1st in route win rate (53%)

ā€¢ 1st in win rate vs. man (56.5%)

ā€¢ 7th in fantasy points per target (2.13)

Thereā€™s a certain toughness to the guy, too. He had a huge game in the teamā€™s lone playoff win, with 8 catches for 105 yards and a TD, while playing on a broken foot.

With Daniel Jones improving his game under Brian Daboll, itā€™s fair to expect someone to emerge from that locker room. Hodgins could be it.

And heā€™s basically free in drafts.

Devon Achane (MIA), ADP 96.8, RB35:

Heā€™s got elite-level speed.

Donā€™t take my word for it, check out who won the Gatorade Track and Field Athlete of the Year Award in 2020 in all of the state of Texas.

(It was Achane, in case you didnā€™t have time to look it up)

That speed probably bodes well in a backfield where heā€™ll be competing for touches with two veterans who arenā€™t particularly known as being the fastest guys.

And donā€™t think Achane canā€™t play. In ā€˜22, he rushed for 1,102 yards on 196 attempts (5.62 avg).

Overall he caught 60 for 457 yards over the last 2 years.

Donā€™t forget his monster performance vs. LSU. Thatā€™s when he rushed 38 times for 215 yards and 2 TDs.

Mike McDaniel can get him in the right spots to showcase those skills again, so donā€™t sleep on him in your draft.

C. Sutton (DEN), ADP 111.4, WR50:

Sutton finished as WR43 last season as someone who was really hurt by Russell Wilsonā€™s poor deep ball.

The target accuracy on throws to Sutton was ranked 63rd among all WRs, so he wasnā€™t getting much.

But I see him as a boom candidate for a number of reasons, starting with the metrics:

ā€¢ 100% route participation

ā€¢ 11th in deep targets (25)

ā€¢ 25th in target share (23.5%)

ā€¢ 23rd in route win rate (44.3%)

ā€¢ 17th in unrealized air yards (693)

We already know that Sean Paytonā€™s presence should help to make the offense run more smoothly.

And I keep saying it, but Wilson himself recommitted himself with a rigorous workout regimen. Heā€™s in great shape.

Jerry Jeudy is probably in line to be the biggest winner in Denver, but donā€™t sleep on the 28-year-old vet.
