1. Clyde Edwards-Helaire (KC) ADP 80.1, RB27:

It’s a make or break year for CEH as a Chief.

The shoulder injury destroyed his '21 season, welcoming a committee with Darrel Williams.

CEH saw his carries dip from 14.5 to 11 when he returned… but here’s the bigger problem:

Not a goal-line threat.

Kelce (and trick plays) dominate their offense currently, and that isn’t going to change.

Williams had 14 GL carries. CEH had 2.

Committee now features Ronald Jones and Jerick McKinnon.

But here’s the thing…

The latter could steal a ton of 3rd down work.

RB27 is too high of a price to pay right now…

Let’s circle back as we get into August to see if he falls to a better value spot.

2. Josh Jacobs (LV) ADP 60.1, RB22:

Jacobs has been a ‘steady’ RB producer.

Never finished outside the Top 15 in FPPG

-Also never finished inside the Top 12.

So why the concern?

He had his best year as a receiving back in '21.

No.5 in rec. and No.14 in rec. yards by a RB.

Two problems...

- Davante Adams wasn't signed to watch Jacobs catch passes, and threatens RZ work.

- backfield injuries boosted his catch total.

But there’s even bigger concerns…

… ones that make his mid-round ADP terrible:

- Raiders declined Jacobs’ fifth-year option.

- No.27 in breakaway runs and No.37 in yards per touch has his efficiency in major question.

- Zamir White taken in 4th Round of the Draft questions his volume (which is everything).

3. DeAndre Hopkins (ARI) ADP 75, WR37:

He may be the hardest player to rank in '22.

- Truly elite WR1 from '17 to '20

- Four seasons of Top 5 WR finishes in FPPG

But...

Is he on his career downslope?

Nuk turned 30 after the 2021 injury…

30 is the age where most WRs drop off a cliff.

Recovery from torn MCL can be tricky.

Big kicker...

Won't have him til Oct because of 6 game suspension.

I understand drafting him here for the potential ceiling, but the mid-rounds are crucial.

Nuk is a huge risk even if you weather the storm through the suspension.
