Jaylen Waddle (MIA), ADP 16.3, WR11:

It’s no secret that Waddle and Tyreek Hill make up one of the most explosive WR duos in the NFL.

Hill is currently drafted in the top 5 overall, while you can get Waddle in the early to mid-2nd round. It may be a better value.

While the Cheetah gets the volume (31.6% vs. 21.6%), Waddle is the more efficient receiver:

• 1st in yards per target (11.7)

• 1st in yards per reception (18.1)

• 4th in yards per route run (2.81)

All it may take to close the gap between these two is a slight shift in target volume.

Don’t forget about those crazy explosive Miami games from early last season when both guys feasted on the epic talent of Tua Tagovailoa.

Waddle is pulling for Tua to stay healthy. Check out the splits with and without his star QB:

Waddle with Tua (per game):

• 7.4 targets

• 4.7 receptions

• 89.7 yards

• 17.95 PPR points

Waddle without Tua (per game):

• 5.4 targets

• 3.8 receptions

• 55.8 yards

• 9.56 PPR points

All 8 of his TDs came with Tua on the field too.

This all spells out the big key to possibly being a league winner. Tua can support both guys when he’s on the field, but Hill gets the volume with a lesser QB.

But Miami didn’t change much in their roster, so the core guys should be ready to run it back again.

I see no reason he can’t crush his PrizePicks futures bets, especially if Tua can stay healthy. I like the yards and the TDs.

James Conner (ARI), ADP 84.4, RB26:

Say what you will about the Cardinals, who are expected to be one of the worst teams in the league in ‘23.

They gave Conner a 71.7% opportunity share last year (8th). One look at their depth chart tells us that’s not changing any time soon.

This is a volume pick, if not an efficiency one:

• 12th in targets (58)

• 13th in receptions (46)

• 6th in snap share (70.5%)

• 10th in route participation (53.2%)

And it isn’t as though his efficiency is totally down the drain in his age 28 season. He was still 13th in evaded tackles (64), 14th in yards created per touch (3.10), and 4th in EPA.

The fact is, the fantasy RB9 in PPR points per game is being drafted as RB26.

The idea here is that if you grab a stud RB in the early rounds, and then get Conner later, you’ll have a league-winning combination.

Until Dalvin Cook is signed somewhere, there’s no one else this late in the draft in line for the work that Conner will get.

Daniel Jones (NYG), ADP 113.9, QB14:

Think back to last summer. Who were your ten most likely league-winning QBs?

If you said Jones was one of them, congratulations. He finished the typical fantasy playoffs, Weeks 16 and 17, with 21.8 and 36.2 points, respectively.

That made him the highest fantasy scorer in that time frame.

There are plenty of signs he’s ready to run it back and become a boon for your team once again.

Let’s start with some metrics:

• 5th in accuracy rating (8.0)

• 7th in fantasy points per drop back (0.57)

• 1st in true completion percentage (75.7%)

• 3rd in red zone completion percentage (64.3%)

The raw passing numbers weren’t amazing, but Jones more than made up for that with sweet, sweet ground production:

• 3rd in rush TDs (7)

• 5th in rushing yards (708)

• 5th in rushing yards per game (44.3)

We all know these numbers are a QB cheat code.

Oh yeah, those underwhelming passing numbers were very much due to having an underwhelming cast of receivers.

The team added Parris Campbell and Darren Waller to go with Darius Slayton (Saquon Barkley caught 57 balls too), so the group has nowhere to go but up.

Reports are that Waller has made an immediate connection with Jones (Bleacher Report), and will absolutely help improve the Giants’ 22nd-ranked 3rd-down conversion rate.

Jones just got PAID by the Giants, which means the team and Brian Daboll’s staff have tons of confidence in him.

If you don’t draft one of the first QBs, Jones can provide a lot of that production at a fraction of the cost.
