Guys that you want in your DFS lineups.

Here's what I learned about Week 7…

QB: Lamar Jackson (DK $8,000 - FD $8,800):

Paying up at QB has been the way in '22.

Without Josh Allen or Jalen Hurts on the slate, you have Lamar or Patrick Mahomes.

Here's why we like Lamar:

The matchup vs. the Browns raises the ceiling.

By far the worst run D Baltimore has seen.

Mahomes, on the other hand, is going against a tougher San Francisco D.

Lamar could hit that 100 yard bonus.

Paying down? Consider our next guy…

QB: Matt Ryan (DK $5,400 - FD $7,300):

Certainly no guarantee. He could go off or he could throw for sub-150, BUT...

He's playing the Titans, who he's already looked good against.

They're also a favorable matchup for WRs,

particularly Michael Pittman.

Jared Goff (DK $5,800 - FD $7,300) is in the same range.

Detroit is at Dallas, and Goff is very good indoors.

He's also one of the best in the league under pressure.

Overall, not a bad idea.

RB: Josh Jacobs (DK $6,500 - FD $8,600):

Yup, I always stay away from him.

But it's been the Jacobs show in Vegas.

He's now the bell cow.

So, obviously, all of DFS will smash him.

McDaniels has handed him the keys.

Over 20 carries each of the last two weeks,

And he faces Houston.

We're ready to have been wrong about this guy for his price.

In fact…

RunTheSims tool predicts Jacobs as the no. 1 optimal player in Week 7.

He was in 24.9% of the optimal lineups.

RB: Kenneth Walker (DK $5,800 - FD $7,300):

Walker's in a nice spot this week.

Chargers D is leaky against the run.

And let's talk Seahawks game flow…

If they hope to stay in the game, they aren't going to sling it with Geno Smith.

Until they have to.

That will leave Walker the touches.

He could get 20 if they keep it close.

RB: Travis Etienne (DK $5,400 - FD $6,200):

We like him as a pivot play away from Saquon Barkley this week.

The Jaguars are good at stopping explosive plays, which is Saquon's specialty.

What about James Robinson? Well…

Sure, he's a threat to take the TDs, BUT...

Etienne is cheaper, more explosive, and he’s been seeing more work lately.

The split has been closer to 50-50,

after being unbalanced earlier this year.

Anyone else at the position?

Honorable Mention RBs:

• Breece Hall (DK $6,200 - FD $7,600)

• Saquon Barkley (DK $7,900 - FD $9,300)

• Leonard Fournette (DK $7,700 - FD $8,400)

Now let's talk WRs.

WR: Amon-Ra St. Brown (DK $7,100 - FD $7,500):

The bigger draw of Lions at Cowboys should be CeeDee Lamb,

but we like the Sun God for this potential high-scorer.

Just plug him and play.

Also,

Jared Goff's numbers are great indoors. He gets a huge boost.

Plus, he's a top-10 QB in EPA while under pressure.

It's pretty crazy to think about.

So, buy Amon-Ra with confidence.

WR: Allen Lazard (DK $6,100 - FD $6,600):

Why do we keep overthinking Green Bay?

Even with Davante Adams, Lazard led the team in RZ targets.

Now?

• He still leads the team in RZ targets.

• And has 33.1% of GB's air yards.

In Green Bay, it's not hard. It's Lazard.

WR: Tee Higgins (DK $6,400 - FD $7,100):

Jake and I also like Ja'Marr Chase.

Even a Burrow-Higgins-Chase stack is OK.

But why is Higgins our lock?

He was supposedly hobbled last week.

Still played the whole game, and did well.

Joe Burrow is also turning the corner, with better o-line play.

Yards per throw downfield went up by 1.5 lately, suggesting more time to throw.

Higgins and Chase are similar, go with the savings.

TE: David Njoku (DK $4,200 - FD $5,700):

We know Mark Andrews is the monster.

He's TE1 in weighted opportunity rating, a mix of air yards and market share.

But he's too expensive (DK $7,400 - FD $8,500).

Enter Njoku:

• Good Week 7 matchup

• Jacoby Brissett throws to TE a LOT

• Not far behind Andrews in weighted opp rating

Our next guy really is in the bargain bin…

TE: Cade Otton (DK $2,700 - $4,900):

Cameron Brate most likely isn't playing with a neck injury.

If Otton scores a TD, your day is made.

The cost gives you flexibility.

Speaking of TEs…

PrizePicks lists Kyle Pitts for an O/U of 40.5 yards.

DEF: NY Jets (DK $2,600 - FD $4,300):

Do the Broncos scare anyone?

With the way Russ is going, you can almost plug in the D going against him.

No one is scoring for those guys.

We also need to identify the best GPP and tournament plays.

Here are some great overlooked players and pivots

w/ @TJHernandez (http://4for4football.com)...

QB: Justin Herbert (DK $7,200 - FD $8,100):

Some are down on Herbert due to efficiency at the moment.

But Keenan Allen returns this week.

And this feels like a favorable game…

SEA-LAC:

• Game has late start time

• Both teams top-11 in pace

• Both top 3 pass rate ovr expectation

• Chargers have 27.5 implied point total

• SEA ranked 2nd in cum. passing game ownership, so they'll be chalky.

Intriguing stack possibilities w/ Herbert:

RB: Joe Mixon (DK $7,000 - FD $7,400):

I've been getting pushback for neglecting FanDuel.

Well, Mixon is 2nd-highest optimal player in that format in the sims.

Here's why he's GPP-friendly this week:

First, the salary is awkward. Most people will pay down or up.

Mixon's in no man's land.

The one issue could be game pace.

But his usage suggests a breakout soon.

Mixon's 5.3 targets per game are 6th among RBs.

Atlanta is bottom-10 in yardage and receptions given up to the position.

He plays into the flow either way we think.

Expect the numbers from him.

WR: Davante Adams (DK $8,700 - FD $8,600):

Who will pay at this salary?

Not many, but you're paying for the leverage, and a top-5 ceiling.

The leverage comes in because Josh Jacobs is mega-chalk this week.

Others in this game too:

Dameon Pierce and Brandin Cooks

HOU allows 4th-highest explosive pass rate.

Davante over the last 5 weeks:

• Over 30% target share

• WR6 in expected fantasy points

• 5th in weighted opportunity rating

You just need to get creative to fit him in.

TE: Dalton Schultz (DK $3,600 - FD $4,800):

TJ thinks it's shaping up to be a bad week for the chalk.

That includes CeeDee Lamb.

The Cowboys are in a decent spot vs. Detroit's D.

And Dak Prescott should increase the pass rate.

Shultz is a low-cost pivot to flip the build.

DEF: Chargers (3,700)

No, you're not going to play them along with Justin Herbert.

But we discussed pivoting off of Seattle's ownership.

It could work out nicely.
