How to think of these 6 players
RBs by Category
Winning your league could come down to you getting the outlook on these RBs correct⦠in two minutes or less.

PPR Upside Pick: Jahmyr Gibbs (DET)
Gibbs finished 1st in total TDs, 2nd in yards per reception, and 4th in fantasy points per opportunity, despite being just 31st in opportunity share. But even while splitting with Montgomery, he was still a monster in the toughest spots, averaging 20.9 fantasy points per game vs Top-16 run defenses, and scoring 25.9, 23.4, and 24.3 points in the playoffs.
So if his role even expands even slightly behind the #1 scoring offense in football, youāre staring at a vintage Jamaal Charles-level celing with one of the highest floors in Round 1.
Most Underrated: Alvin Kamara (NO)
Kamara led all RBs in targets, receptions, target share, and yards per route run, all at the ripe age of 29. But even though his offense cycled through QBs and finished bottom-tier, Kamara still logged 1,493 yards (his highest since 2020), and posted RB5 numbers in PPR per game.
So even with a rookie QB under center and waning explosiveness, Kamaraās passing role is so locked in that heās still a Top-10 RB in PPR⦠and heās going in the 4th round.
Most Overrated: Jonathan Taylor (IND)
JT was Top-5 in carries, 4th in rushing yards, and 1st in opportunity share. On paper, it looks elite. But four spike weeks accounted for a disproportionate number of his fantasy points, and he ranked 42nd in missed tackles and 44th in yards after contact per attempt out of 46 qualified backs.
So if you're drafting him in the 2nd, youāre betting on an inefficient, banged-up runner in one of the NFLās 4th-toughest passing schedules, and the receptions are still gone.
Best Sleeper: Jordan Mason (MIN)
Mason ranked Top-10 in breakaway runs, explosive rate, and yards per touch, and averaged 5.2 YPC while facing 8+ man boxes on 51% of his carries, which was the 2nd-highest rate in the league. But even with all that, heās still being drafted as a handcuff, despite averaging 21.3 touches and 111.8 yards in games as a starter and finishing as an RB1 in half of those weeks.
So if Aaron Jones (now 30) misses time like he has in 3 of the last 5 seasons, Mason is a Round 9 cheat code that turns into a Top-12 workhorse overnight.
Dark Horse RB1 Candidate: DeāVon Achane (MIA)
Achane ranked 1st in receptions, receiving yards, and target share among RBs, and was RB2 in points per game with Tua, despite a massive drop in rushing efficiency. But in games without Tua, he cratered to RB42, showing just how much his value is tied to this offenseās passing rhythm. And Miami enters 2025 with the 8th-easiest passing schedule in the league.
So when this offense is healthy, Achaneās 29% target rate with Tua makes him an undisputed week-winner in the leagueās fastest system⦠and a real threat to finish RB1 overall.
So thatās it. RBs you need to know before your fantasy draft.
As promised, in two minutes or less.
Over 12,000 players used this to prep last season. My 2025 Draft Kit is open now, but only a few dozen spots are available this year. Iām keeping it limited so I can give members my full attention.
See you tomorrow,
