💥 BIGGEST BUST: Sam LaPorta (DET), ADP 74.5, TE4

Sam LaPorta was drafted as TE1 last year… BUT he dropped to TE9 in points per game, and TE7 overall — even with one of the best rookie TE starts ever. His volume cratered:

  • 7.1 targets per game as a rookie

  • Just 5.2 per game last year

His routes and role were still good, but his production got patchy — especially with Amon-Ra, Gibbs, and Jamo all stealing volume in a loaded Detroit offense. He averaged just 53 yards per game over the final 8 weeks, and most of his fantasy relevance was touchdown-driven. Underdog called his production fluky — and other analysts say Colston Loveland of the Bears is a better pure prospect than LaPorta moving forward.

So at TE4, you’re drafting a guy who’s no longer schemed as the focal point — and now faces more competition than ever. It’s not a bad pick… but it’s a risky one that needs touchdowns to work.
